Sportsmen?s Chalet is an amazing dinner spot between Eagle River and St. Germain. It is located on Dead Horse Bend. I?ve been... coming to this place with my family for at least 25 years. Friendly and amazing service is always provided by the owners. Thefish fry is always amazing. Some of the best Walleye filets you will find in the Northwoods are right here. You can also opt forlake perch, haddock or Alaskan whitefish. No matter what the soup is, it will be delicious. There is no shortage of fish oratmosphere and it?s one of my absolute favorite places to go. I hope you like taxidermy because there is plenty of it all overthe walls. Don?t forget to ask the owner to throw a dollar on the ceiling ???? Read more

I love this place. What a great local pub and grub. Their nightly specials are great. Nice selection of tap beer that is draft... beer for those of you south of the 45th. Friendly service. Always a great meal or sandwich. Limited menu but everything isgreat. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Gary is a great bartender. Their Chicken poop bingo is really fun. They havegreat pies and jams to take home. Read more

You have to experience Chicken Sh*t Bingo at least once! They make batches of syrup in the spring that you can purchase. The... owner is a very talented wood carver and those pieces are also displayed. Very friendly local crowd! Read more

Located on dead horse bend, the Sportmen's Chalet is a North Woods menagerie of animal trophies, local fried fish, and a locals'... watering hole (including well water). Everyone is welcome, but it's a get what you get atmosphere. The walleye and friedshrimp were good, and the boasted potatoes were yummy. Topped off with a Dutch apple pie a la mode, it was a fine end to theevening. Read more
