Decor was cool, food was decent, but bartender dude gave super uncomfortable vibes. Husband & I came in for a late lunch, there... were only a couple other people dining who appeared done with their meals & there was ample seating in a large dining room. Weasked to sit at a table where we could keep an eye on our dog in the car & he told us that table wasn't available, in fact wecouldnt sit at any table in that section, even though the tables were clean, set & in perfect view of the bar & there was noobvious reason why he wouldnt let us sit there. So we instead approached the bar and asked about some of the beers on tap, noneof which he could provide any knowledge about. We each ordered a pint, which he wouldn't begin until we brought him our IDsthough we are very clearly far past legal drinking age. Ok, I get it, OLCC is strict. So we gave him our IDs. Then he asked tohold a card even though we were dining in. This is normal practice at a busy bar or counter service restaurant, but this is atable service restaurant, there were only maybe 2 other tables besides us, and the dining room is set up so you're basicallytrapped, it would be a feat to escape without paying. It felt strangely accusatory. So we sat down after ordering our beers -then instead of heading to the taps to pour them, we watched him walk to the back out of view where he remained for a while. Icould see him hanging out between the bar & kitchen, not sure what he was doing. After more than 5 minutes, I walked back up thethe bar like "hello?" He disappeared again so I went back to the table. We waited another few minutes before he finally broughtour beers, no apology for the wait or explanation. He just didn't seem like the type for the position he was working - notpersonable, friendly or helpful. Decent pizza place with limited indoor seating after 4pm. We tried the top two recommendations the schmiza pizza and the sink... pizza. They were both pilled very high with toppings and the dough was nice and soft not a crunchy type. Overall a good pizzaplace that I would definitely get take away from as after the pizza set for a while tasted much better than fresh out the oven.It?s a thicker dough pizza which is nice sometimes and the toppings helped balance that as they were piled high. Also we gotthe house Caesar salad which is super nice and the small one was huge it was a little bit saucy but still OK for this one. Read more
