The setting is perfect. Along with the rooftop bar and live music it is hard to argue for a better venue in Durham. Service was... exceptional as well. The waitress was extremely attentive as there were not a lot of patrons at the restaurant. But the food didnot hold up it?s end of the bargain. Ordered the stuffed flounder, octopus and also crab cake appetizer, with the ribeye aswell. Crab cake was good with moderate flavor. Octopus was mediocre without real bite to it as it was small even for an app. Theflounder and ribeye were both under seasoned. Lastly I don?t care what my lady says, I know how to recognize a NY Strip. Foodwas just not up to par with the decor and service given. Read more

Was food even good in the 1960s? Probably not. But don?t worry, because the food from this restaurant can measure up to its most... contemporary competitors. This Momo?s Fried Chicken & French Toast is a great modern take on chicken and waffles. The chickenis so crispy, juicy, and thicc. In some ways, the sandwich format is even better than its chicken and waffle counterpart. Itwill absolutely satisfy your weekend brunch cravings. Indoors, the 1960s mood is really pleasant and almost calming. I stronglyrecommend stopping by for a brunch, but if you?re really looking to transport yourself completely into a different decade, youshould try the dinner menu. The ambiance surrounds you as soon as you walk through the doors. It?s posh enough for a great datenight and cozy enough for dinner with friends or family. The more I eat at this restaurant/hotel, the more I fall in love withit. Hopefully you can stop by soon and add it to your frequently visited spots. Read more

Excellent dinner. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate requests. Even providing options that weren?t... on the menu! Thank you! We had the prime rib and flounder. Both great. Definitely will come back. Read more

What a special place! Nice ambiance and great original food. Can find various options. Had of all kinds - on a lighter side fish... with veg or braised beef and pork or a burger. Great service too. Always. Read more

We had such an amazing dinner to celebrate my husband?s birthday. We had the salmon flatbread and oysters as starters which had... amazing flavor. I especially loved the fried capers that came with the salmon. For mains we had the swordfish and monkfish, cooked to perfection, monkfish was definitely my favorite. For dessert we had the almond joy, crème brûlée and key lime, allvery delicious. The drinks were on point as well. Definitely had a very lovely evening, and would recommend the restaurant atthe durham for any celebration! Read more

We enjoyed the cocktails! The appetizers were also good, and the desserts were great! The Espresso Crème Brûlée was our... favorite, followed by the Dark Chocolate Cheesecake, then the Key Lime Curd, the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, and finally, theVegan Orange Almond Cake(it was a little dry and dense). However, the absolute BEST part of our dining experience from therestaurant at the Durham Hotel was our amazing waitress, Emily! Emily was very catering. She remembered our dietary needs andmodified them accordingly. She never let us wait for long before checking up on us. She was consistent throughout our entiredining experience(we were there till closing for a sisters lunch turned into dinner get together). She helped take ourpictures! She was great! Emily is a great part of this business, and we will request her EVERY TIME we dine there, for sure! Shedeserves a raise and a bonus! It's not easy caring for a table of 13 people. She did it with ease, comfort, confidence, andprofessionalism! Great job, Emily!!! Read more

I really enjoyed getting brunch at the Durham Hotel. The restaurant is so beautiful with its retro decor. The room is huge with... tall ceilings so it feels really open and airy. I got the French toast fried chicken and it was delicious. I also got a coffeesoda which I loved. The service was excellent as well. Read more

I booked this restaurant for my birthday. It wasn?t giving luxury to me personally. They can definitely fix up the inside needs... a makeover. I wanted the roof top but it wasn?t available that?s how I ended up in the restaurant. The food was pretty goodhowever and the service was good. I had the duck and it was prepared perfect. To my ladies that likes taking bathroom pics lolthis bathroom doesn?t make the cut. Overall decent spot but not really fancy about it. Read more
