Got a philly cheese steak Togo. 25 min wait, kitchen staff has no communication with lady up front. Beard would be good toasted... inside so it?s not soggy, no favor to the steak or vegetable. Definitely a keeper !! A local sandwich store that has exceeded my expectations. Located in a dingy yet safe(thanks to Durham... police office) strip mall in Durham, this food joint might come across as a place not worth stepping in. I bet you would feelotherwise when you leave. They have reasonable sandwich options and more than a couple of vegetarian options. Their signaturefocaccia bread is as soft a pillow. We ordered the Grilled tomato mozzarella sandwich and the pimento cheese sandwich with soup.The vegetable soup was bit too salty for our liking. However, both the sandwiches were delightful. Their sandwiches are spicybut if that is not enough for you.. There are hot sauces to spice it up. I recommend the Papaya hot sauce. Their sandwiches aredefinitely under priced when compared to their peers. Tasty sandwich on soft breads and as cheap as it can get. Read more
The restaurant menu looks fantastic, but the catering is awful. The fried chicken is dry and the breading looks like it was... cooked in a microwave, chicken patties were awful,the buns still stick together and Frozen, morning waffles were still frozen,the catering team seems like they woke up late and said "oh man we have to get that order done" and just threw it together, 100%not recommended. This place is located in a brick strip mall off Miami Blvd and TW Alexander. It's rather busy during lunch, but parking is no... problem. I had the Chicken Philly and it failed to impress. $12 for a half sandwich, chips and a drink is about what you canexpect. The place was clean and staff was friendly so I would venture back to try something else. Read more
Stopped by for a quick lunch and got the country club sandwich. The bread was homemade and the ingredients were fresh. It was... $11 for a sandwich, chips and a medium drink. A little on the high side for lunch, but at least you get what you pay for. Iwill def return to SGG. Read more
Been there a couple times and both times were just amazing. Never understood the concept of best sandwich ever or best sandwich... place ever since I am not so crazy over sandwich in general. But this place is close to that for me. The sandwiches wereflavorful and rich. The seasonings were just right and not overly strong to overpower the other components. The menu has a lotof options and they all look good. I had some black pepper turkey sandwich and a Cajun chicken one. They were easily in the top5 best sandwiches I have ever had in my life. You get to pick a side to go with the sandwich, so I picked the potato salad,which was good. There are also several hot sauces for you to choose from too. Bottom line, this is definitely a fantasticsandwich place and I will be back to try other ones. Read more
