Of course we had to go to Shanghai Restaurant for Chinese New Year dinner! The food is absolutely amazing and the portions are... huge. Everything we ordered took less than 20 minutes to prepare. Tonight?s menu consisted of fried shrimp balls and dumplingsappetizers then entrées of sesame chicken, sesame beef, and salt pepper shrimp with a side of garlic yu choy. Honestly, myChinese mother would be impressed. Also, if you?ve not been to Shanghai in a while, you?re in for a treat. The restaurant hasbeen newly renovated and it looks so good. Great food and amazing service! The wait staff was unbelievable attentive, friendly, and helpful. Shanghai's menu features a... great variety of traditional, true Chinese dishes (ex several versions of stir fried yu choi, egg and tomato, etc) as well asAmerican Chinese restaurant favorites. Their flavors are varied and delicious, and they still bring out a pot of hot tea withthe meal. As a bonus, their prices are very reasonable. Read more

Super tasty little spot! We often frequent the Harris Teeter next door and decided to venture over this evening for dinner. It... looks like a small store front on the outside but was surprisingly big and inviting on the inside! We got the egg drop soup +sesame tofu and string beans. First and last time ever eating here! The chicken was SO soggy and had 0 flavor my broccoli had more flavor than the chicken, I... couldn't even eat the chicken very gross, they gave me brown rice instead of fried rice, the egg roll I'm not even sure wascompletely cooked.
