Waited for 20 mins to get a table and then 45mins at the table after ordering. Then they come and say they lost my ticket. I... cancelled and started to walk out. No apologies given or anything said, like no one cares. Read more

After having a tour of the Museum, we went to lunch at the Cafe. The seating is easy-just find a seat and the staff is attentive... to who comes in. Within a minute, menus were in hand and beverage orders were taken and delivered. The menu covers all tastesfrom light plates to salads and sandwiches and meals. Read more

Our monthly dining group of 8 (G8 is now five years old) really enjoyed our recent dinner at the Nasher Cafe. We went on a... Thursday night (the only night dinner is currently being served) and, as an added bonus, those of us who arrived at the NasherMuseum early could check out the current art exhibitions without paying an entrance fee since Thursday is their "free" day. Itwas a nice evening weather-wise and we opted for the outdoor seating (a beautiful setting) which can be a little quieter thanthe indoors room as well. We had truly delightful service from Marley and it was great seeing Lydia whom we know from herRefectory Cafe days. We requested several variations from what was listed on the menu and Marley and the chef happily fulfilledour orders. We all chose very tasty and fresh dinner-sized salads (from Nasher's wonderful selection) and some of us toppedthem off with beautifully grilled shrimp or seared ahi tuna. Nasher Cafe also has a nice selection of desserts as well as ofwine, and a small, but good, selection of craft beer -- and we partook in all. Finally, we made reservations for their Saturdaybrunch in a couple of weeks! Read more

This place is a joke with unprofessional staff ignoring seated guests and avoiding directly answering simple question like "what... is the portion of this salad". "I could tell you that the salad might be served in a plate as large as this table, but it wouldstill be perfect to be shared by two people". That's the smartest answer I have heard of about "portion". Actually, no one cameto talk to the two of us in the first ten minutes. People came after us got water served before us. The food might be ok, butthe service was already overwhelming for us to stay. When we informed the waiter that we would leave, the only word as responsewas "ok!" as if that was the single best decision I have ever made. Thank you! Read more

I've been to the Nasher cafe 3 times in the past couple of years, and each time the food has been phenomenal. However, each time... I have also had the displeasure of being stuck at a meal for 2 hours, or even longer. The wait staff is extremely slow, oftenleaving tables unattended for ridiculously long periods of time, and making the entire meal crawl along. So, in essence, if youare looking to have some nice, drawn out conversation while enjoying a tasty meal, certainly give the Nasher a try! But if youare in any sort of time crunch whatsoever, I would suggest going to one of the many other delicious restaurants in the area. Read more

The Nasher Museum Cafe is a lovely afternoon experience especially if you're there to visit the museum or if you've been to Duke... Gardens close by. Brunch is served on the weekends with an outdoor dining option available. They have theme dinners and anexcellent wine list. The staff is professional and proficient. A very good choice. Read more
