Simple atmosphere with a repeating menu that changes according to the day. Brisket on Saturday. We went the wrong day. But our... pulled pork was fantastic. The cucumber salad is sweet and delicious. Their corn bread is not like moms and I wasn't a fan.Parking is an issue in Friday night. It is next to Duke and other restaurants. So it's a busy area. But good food. And my Texasnative friend said that the brisket is some of the best he's ever had... that's why we went... to see if that was a fluke ornot... but we went on Friday. Read more
The food and dessert tasted great, but maybe a bit overpriced. For example, our desserts cost $2.50 each, which isn't much at... all, but our serving was still surprising. I sat them in front of a normal canned soda for a size reference. Read more
Just a walk in and order kind of place. We were waiting for a waitres but there are none. The is ample seating for groups of... people, but you seat yourself. The food was different and refreshing. ribs were nice n tender mac n cheese was good also my son had a grilled cheese he ate that up. baked beans had a nice little... kick to it but they were good also. that baked cornbread was awesome I could have ate too of those. I give this place two thumbsup. Read more
First time being at "Moe's Original BBQ". I ordered myself a pull pork sandwich meal. My two sides were Mac n cheese and... cucumber salad. Their Mac and cheese was baked and I LOVE baked Mac and cheese. I've noticed that their Mac and cheese has agood cheese and noodles ratio. At the end result, My Mac and cheese was good than I expected. My next side dish was a cucumbersalad. It pretty much self-explanatory. A couple of cut cucumbers and onion drench with salad dressing. Let talk about the maindish (the pulled pork sandwich). Before I talked about how great the sandwich was, The only complain I have is they don't putany slaw on their pulled pork sandwich. And I don't think it optional to have slaw or not. Besides my complain, I enjoyed thesandwich. I can tell that their pork is top notch. The meat felt like a premium quality type of meat. The brioche bun was a goodcompliment. Their sauce was kinda ok. I prefer real hot sauce like Red Hot, Texas Pete and Popeyes hot sauce packets. Very nice, great food. The ribs were my favorite. The pulled pork and smoked chicken were quite tasty, too. The mac and cheese... is made with real cheese. Reasonably priced and the add more meat for $3 is a deal. The dessert (pudding) was the only thing wedid not like. Read more
All around fantastic experience! The venue is peasant with nice interior, the staff was very polite and the food was well... arranged and tasty. We had platters with 1/2 chicken, ribs, pulled pork and fish and all were tasty and filling. I wouldrecommend to all Durham guests. The place is also relatively inexpensive with only 12-16 per platter (meat, 2 sides and adrink). Read more
The smoked chicken sandwich and Shrimp Po Boy were both fantastic. Loved the beans and collard greens on the side.
