Really convenient location in downtown Durham, with very friendly staff. Unfortunately that didn?t translate into a great... smoothie experience for my wife and I. After waiting over 15 minutes , we were told that our order wasn?t completed because of acomputer error. That?s understandable, but we were the only customers affected by this error. Another 10 minutes go by before wereceive our order, and the smoothies were terrible. Full of pulp, hardly any drinkable liquid and we could tell the drinks wererushed because of the earlier mistake. The strawberry shortcake smoothie bowl is SO good, I almost had to double check the ingredients to make sure Bcus I couldn?t... believe how delicious it was! Also, Bcus this location is on a busy street without parking, I called ahead of time, gave them myname, and they were kind enough to bring my order out to me. They?re truly the best! Read more

My daughter wanted a smoothie bowl and we were downtown so I looked a spot up and found this place. She got a Mocha bowl with... banana. My son got a Mango smoothie and I am Golden Milk coffee with extra espresso. Everything was okay. The service was greatbut it?s a but pricey for smoothie bowls. My daughters was $15 and she didn?t even eat it all. Don?t get me wrong I know the newthing is to charge for everything, but I could?ve made this same bowl at home for $15 and did it for the entire family. It?sdefinitely a place you can grab a healthy treat to fill you up. The atmosphere was nice vibe and it had a super cute upstairsthat you could hide away in and enjoy your treat if you didn?t want to walk and eat. Me and my best friend would come here weekly when we lived in the area. The green-zini smoothie with extra spirulina was a hit!... I just recently went because I was back in the area and they were out of spirulina so maybe there?s a drought? But thisparticular Juicekeys location makes the best smoothies and has the best service. Some reviews complain about the pricing but Ifeel that it is justified by the quality of the menu items and you?re just getting what you pay for and it?s totally worth it.Strawberries are also now in season so the bowls are a great way to go. After looking at the photos of their power bowls, I was excited to try their strawberry shortcake bliss. Compared to the photo,... the portion seemed smaller and there were way fewer strawberries than I anticipated. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the bowl, andthe portion actually turned out to be perfect for breakfast. In terms of their smoothie, cashew butter made it really creamy,and I liked how it had an even texture - instead of having icy bits. It would've been nicer if the strawberries were non-frozen,but I enjoyed it regardless. Small coconut chips at the top made it feel like I'm eating a strawberry ice-cream, and this wouldalso be a perfect dessert/snack. Read more
This place is so cozy and their smoothies are a little on the high end but the quality is definitely worth it. The smoothies... are so fresh and they have a lot of options. Also I think it?s really cool how they?ll do a ?allergy wash? if you let them knowthat you have a food allergy. Just to be sure that there is nothing in the blender that will make anyone with a food allergy getsick. Inside it is so clean and the aesthetics will make you just want to sit in all day and order more smoothies and justrelax. Maybe even read a book upstairs. Read more
This is my third time coming to Juicekeys (the location here in Durham, NC) and I must say, my experience gets better and better... each time! Today, I placed an order for pick up with some specific instructions on the ingredients for two blueberry blissbowls. A few minutes after placing the order I received an unexpected, but pleasant phone call from Brian- he wanted to makesure that the bowl was crafted exactly how I expected. I was so pleased by him going above and beyond for my order that I had toleave an immediate review. As a customer, I?m so thankful for the extra effort.
