Reviews for Taco Libre - Taqueria & Cocktails in Durango, CO
The quesobirria was fantastic!! The consome served was flavorful and a perfect accompaniment! The al pastor burrito was simply... delicious! The flavors were spot on and the meat was tender. We got the guac which was LEGIT! The queso was a fancied up cannednacho cheese sauce, but was tasty too! Their chips and salsa were light and crispy with a delicious smokiness to the salsa. Wegot an ala cart roasted chili with cheese and it was "ok" but the cheese wasn't fully melted and the chili wasn't cooked untildone. The house margarita was tart (I wasn't a fan, but drank it anyway... I mean, it's a MAR-GA-RITA!) and we got the tamarindmarg as well which was much more to our liking. We are only in Durango for one night and we are SO GLAD that this was ourevening meal! We wish we were staying longer, just to sample more of their menu! Read more

Interesting atmosphere but the food was subpar. Nacho Libres wasn't bad except chicken was dry, carne asada quesadilla was too... salty so we couldn't finish it. Read more
Enjoyed the food and ambiance so much that we went two days in a row while in town. Both days had Nachos Libres, different meat... each time... delicious! Front of restaurant has a night club type vibe. Back half has plenty of seating with views of the openkitchen. Contemporary decor with the Mexican wrestler theme is interesting and unique. Staff was all friendly and bathrooms wereclean. Read more

Tacos por los que vale la pena luchar!!! Tacos Libre is legit. Located in a super cool brick building, the decor and music and... ambience set a festive tone. The staff couldn?t be friendlier; Luis and Alegría were awesome. We had chips w/ salsa, guac, andqueso to start; the chips are light and crispy, guac is excellent, and the salsa is smoky and flavorful, w/ just a touch of akick. I always go with street tacos so I can sample more flavors, and here I went with Birria, carne asada, and al pastor. Mypersonal favorite was the Birria, but I love a taco that drips down my arm when I bite it ;). todos los tacos estabanrequisimo!! The Birria was juicy and tender and the consommé is rich and delicious and made me want a cup of it to drink. ????They definitely have the flavor right with the Al pastor, it is delicious. The carne asada?.who doesn?t love a tasty & tendersteak taco? tacos por los que vale la pena luchar!! Against our better judgement (because I should prob skip a few desserts),we got the flan and the churros for dessert, and it was a highlight. It would be worth coming here just for dessert and acafecito! If you find yourself in Durango, hit up Taco Libre! Read more
