Wowza! Somebody needs to kiss the Chef! Now this is real Thai food! The super long comments on the negative reviews kinda scared... me, but now I understand why. Nothing bad should ever be said about this heavenly place. Keep up the great work! Read more

We had a great experience at Chang Thai. Reservation is needed even though we were able to get in as the host let us in due to... seat availability. The food was amazing. We had green curry, yellow curry, basil fried rice and Thai fried rice. Amongst allgreen curry was our favorite. Definitely going back there whenever we are in Durango. Read more

Outstanding meal, outstanding service and outstanding location! I ordered the special - avocado curry and it came out with a... presentation like I have never seen! The sliced avocado was in the shape of a heart with the meat and veggies inside! I havenever been served a meal that looked this amazing in my life. The green curry was delicious and the veggies were perfectlyprepared, fresh, not frozen and still a tad crisp - amazing! The little restaurant has lovely ambiance, bright and cheerful, and the service was very friendly. I can't wait to come back. Read more

I have never written a review for any establishment. This is a first time for me. I had to write this review because I feel so... strongly about this place being the best Thai food I?ve had. I?ve even been to Thailand. I?m educated. First off, the owner isgreat (despite what is implied in other reviews). He was managing a lot at once while serving our large party of 5 and was verypatient with our large, complex order and provided great service. We had multiple changes of heart while ordering and he wasvery kind about it. I had to change my order down in spice level because I smashed my face mountain biking. He offered a homeremedy to help with my soon to be scar from the stitches. They ran out of Thai tea and he kindly split the remainder of whatthey had between my friend and I at no cost! The boba had the best consistency and taste. My friends had both the egg-rolls andspring rolls as appetizers. Both were 5 star dishes. Now onto the main dishes? We had a variety of food that came out prettydamn fast. The glorious aromas were pouring out of the kitchen. I personally ordered the pumpkin curry (yes, I am super basicand like fall themed dishes but I think I still get after it as you can tell from the scars on my face). My friends ordered Tomyum, drunken noodles, and two pad Thais. Each individual dish was uniquely delectable and full of flavor but my order was thebest. This pumpkin curry should be the talk of the town. The shrimp were huge! The ambiance is also something to note. From thedramatic dark blue walls to the natural vibes of the grass walls, we felt at home. Right as we thought we couldn?t fit anyadditional food in our belly?s, the owner came out with chocolate milkshakes!!!! Big win. As if I hadn?t already beenconvinced? Durango food in general is overpriced and overrated for tourists. This place is the real deal at a very affordableprice. I cannot wait to see what the new back patio holds! Read more

We just enjoyed an excellent lunch, and dining experience. We had two curries and tried the samosas out of curiosity. The... portions were generous and flavorful. We went for a late lunch, but the dining area was still full and take-out orders wereflowing. The owner was friendly and told us in advance it was an unusually busy time. It was worth the short wait. We arelooking forward to trying other dishes. Read more

I ordered for pick up. We had the spring rolls, fried rice, Coconut soup and steamed veggies. Everything was cooked to... perfection. We really enjoyed the soup; the flavor was spot on! I showed up a bit early and the owner was friendly and served mea glass of water at the bar. Great customer service, and great experience overall. We will definitely come back! Read more

I am excited that these folks now have a real place to call home. I?ve eaten at all their various locations. I think the... quality is quite good. On day 2 in the new location, the place was hopping so they were still getting their footing so lots offorgiveness for that. I ordered pad Thai, kind of a benchmark dish for a Thai restaurant. After a lengthy wait of over 30minutes (I did not call in the order and knew there was a chance I?d be waiting) I got my piping hot to-go order. Don?t get mewrong, I want them to succeed and I want to support local restaurants, but?$20 w/tip for an order of noodles is crazy. Thenoodles had a wisp of sauce but were fairly dry. There was tofu, 3 bites of egg and a couple slivers of green onion?not a peanutor pea, piece of broccoli to be found. The portion was enough for two meals really but I?m sorry, that?s too much money if youhave to bring your own verges. This has been my experience several times, so I don?t think it was an off night. I expect theowner will be defensive based on other responses to reviews, but I hope they listen to constructive criticism so they can thriveand succeed. Read more

Has always been one of our favorite places to get Thai food in Durango. Quality has been consistent with our several dozen... orders over the past few years. Always good communication about pick-up times. Its surprising people leave negative reviews dueto ?delayed? orders. I can imagine how difficult it is operating a restaurant these days and honestly the quality of food hasalways been worth the occasional few minute wait upon pick-up. Not at all a big deal?..
