All areas off this hotel were clean. Every employee was super friendly and ready to help with a smile. We enjoyed the dinning... car, Jared was a great waiter and their staff was so nice. Rooms are unique and clean. In this weather where it is 100 degrees during the day the small air conditioners in the units can... not keep it cool. The restraunt has good food, and the wait staff is good and friendly. Prices for the rooms and the food wereover inflated. They put 18% service fees on your receipts for dinner and then expect 20% tips on top of it, making a meal fortwo come out to just over $100... Read more

The train car was very clean and comfy, great for our family of 5! The mini fridge and microwave worked out perfect for warming... up any leftovers for our kids to eat. The location is beautiful with huge trees all around made it a great ?glampingexperience?. The shower was very nice. The water got warm fast and the water flow was perfect. So many hikes, lakes, andwaterfalls in the area to explore. We would definitely stay again!! Read more

The campground is fantastic! Large sites, lots of shade, the bathrooms are updated & exceptionally clean. The creek access is... right there & great spots for dipping in to cool off. The kids & dogs were thoroughly entertained. The management at thecampground & the main hotel property were very friendly & accommodating. The property is clean & well maintained. This place is so cool! We could not wait to eat in a train car once we read about this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The... best food ever! They make a GOOD hamburger! My kid couldn't have agreed more! He loved his pizza. Everyone was so friendly.Service was just amazing all around! Hard to come by these days. I loved the Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra hits that were beingplayed. Think I heard some Benny Goodman as well. That was a very nice touch! Can't wait to go back! Read more

What a special place this!! We arrived in time to enjoy a fantastic dinner on Wednesday in the dinning car. (Closed Monday and... Tuesday). The shrimp and grits was yummy as was the salmon! We stayed in car 26 which has a cupola where we played cards in theevening and had coffee in the morning. The bed and shower were both great. We walked the campground which was beautiful withlots of shade trees. We did go to have breakfast in the diner car, but unfortunately they don't serve breakfast.
