Marguerite catered my mother-in-law's 90th birthday party for 80+ guests and everything was excellent from start to finish. The... food was delish, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Marguerite was professional, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. Sheoffers a large variety of options that surpass expectations. She even made a wonderful carrot birthday cake which disappeared inthe blink of an eye. All the guests wanted to know who our caterer was and I had no hesitation in recommending her. This was my family?s go-to restaurant for catering growing up, and now I use them as well for my own parties! People RAVED about... the 3 quiches and barbecue meatballs at my baby shower. We bought more than we needed, and at the end we encouraged everyone tograb some leftovers - and everyone loved it all so much that they packed it all up and we had none left!! Margeurite?s is awonderful staple of the Dunedin community, and Margeurite (and her right-hand woman Randy) is a lovely professional to workwith. Read more

Walked up just as they opened and had to seek out an employee to be seated. She was very unfriendly from them on as well as... condescending in tone. When we asked about specials she just pointed to a white board at the other end of the room. Our food wasmediocre at best. As for the hollandaise on my egg benedict?the worst, EVER! Tasted like thinned out mayo! Will not return & donot recommend. Read more
This cafe is a lovely local eatery directly next door to Dunedin?s Public Library. It offers indoor and covered outdoor seating.... The food was flavorful and served in satisfying portions. The menu offers something for everyone. There is parking on the sideand rear surrounding lots. The service was welcoming and the prices were competitive. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Marguerite's Cafe is a favorite brunch for my service dogs, so being their human and chauffeur we dine there with confidence... during this pandemic. The lovely umbrella'd patio with well distanced seating is semi-shaded by oaks, allowing guests to sit inshade or sun. A sign at the entrance implores you to wear a mask for service and wait for staff to seat you. All to protect usfrom any possible contagion contact. Excellent! The food is tasty, prepared and served by experts, who aim to please. My dogs,and consequently my, favorite is the two timer special. Two each of eggs, sausage and bacon, crispy homefries w/ onions or girlsraised in the south, fluffy pancakes or french bread french toast. Today was the head waitress' bday and she and the chef hadexperimented with stuffing the french bread with cream cheese and fresh strawberries and topping the french toast with a freshblueberry compote. Red, white, blue and delicious even after July fourth! Their quiche, soups, and sandwiches are superb aswell. They offer first class catering and orders to go for alternative social distancing and convenience. Well mannered K9's,even if not trained service animals, dine on the patio. Marguerite's catered an event I was hosting at HOB and everything was wonderful! From working with me to ensure I had the best... menu possible, to the delivery, setup and equipment pickup, everything was top notch. This was a smaller event with 25-30people and Marguerite made sure I was happy with the setup before she left. Lots of compliments on the food too!
