I'll return for sure! The strip steak was amazing! Seasoned and cooked a perfect medium rare! Asparagus so tasty. Friendly and... prompt bartender. Broad sink selection. Plenty of TVs on sports. The food here us outstanding, BUT, the atmosphere....... I really don't like giving bad reviews, but I have to be honest, ... the atmosphere was terrible. The restaurant was not crowded at all so the staff took liberty to play their songs of choiceinside the restaurant. They chose to play the unedited versions of every filthy rap song imaginable. I kid you not! I reallycouldn't enjoy the time I spent there. The language was awful. The staff was young so I get it, but the ambiance should bedirected towards the customers. Great hang out spot to enjoy a drink. Staff and customers are very friendly, if you haven?t checked out 290 I recommend you... should simply for the atmosphere! Love being able to get a drink in Duncan without having to drive to Greer, Spartanburg, orGreenville too. Read more

Food was really good! I had the meat and two sides. It was a choice of grilled chicken or 6 oz sirloin. My sides were the... asparagus and the roasted potatoes. I gave 4 stars because it did take a while to get our food and also, this may be weird, butthey don't give (coin) change back. I received my dollars in change but not the coins. The waitress needs to explain that whenthe customer orders or pays. I was wondering if that should be part of the tip??????????? Other than that, I enjoyed my meal. Myfriend was with me, and she ordered the Route 290 Pasta with shrimp. She said it was delicious. Read more
Decor was great, but subpar food quality. Fried green tomatoes had sauce that looked to be made out of cheese-wiz. BBQ didn't... taste any better than what I make in a croc-pot. Fries we frozen with a good seasoning. Shrimp in the shrimp and grits had tobe peeled so hands now smell like shrimp. Nothing made us feel like we must come back, which is a shame because I lovesupporting local businesses. Read more
Update: we ordered food to go and our burgers were burned so try you can choke on it, the egg on there was not over eat like we... asked also overcooked like crazy, the chicken wings we over cooked to the point where they were cracking off the bone. I wouldnot recommend this places anymore since we have given it 3 tries and 1st time was not pleasant 2nd time was OK and the thirdtime was a to go order and it was awful, u can say burned to perfection. (First visit) We got a few dishes there the lamb dishwas very good so if you're a lamb lover this is a great place the Mashed potatoes were very good I wish they would of taken theends off of the asparagus but they dish was great. We also ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and they was very delicious,highly recommend. We also got the sunny side burger and it was very good the meat was not exactly the right temperature but itwas delicious. We also did get the grilled chicken sandwich and I would not recommend it at all the chicken seriously was likepaper and hard to even bite thru We had to send it back since it was un-eatable and replaced it with the burger, which wasgreat. We also got the soup of the day, chicken noodle it was ok nothing special the tiny portion was definitely not worth $7 wewill have to come back and try a few other things but it was a great place waiters were great and the bar is awesome they alsohave a pool table there. Nice spot for dinner and drinks. They have pool tables and they do karaoke on Friday. Menu is solid. They got a burger that'll... fill you up for a couple days. We got pizza and it was really tasty. They are having issues with plumbing and it smells likesomething is burning or ya know. But have had people coming to try and solve it and it does not take away from anything else inthe dining experience. Definitely be back for the karaoke. Read more
