Non-bias review, to be completely honest The meat is not that good. Ribs are decent but a little undercooked every time and... every other meat item is WAY to fatty and I actually enjoy a lil fat on my meat but when your literally only eating fat andlittle bit meat in every bite its kinda gross. Ridge View BBQ has some of the best local BBQ in the region! From their seasonal spring ramp burgers, to their typical ribs and... pulled pork, I've never had a bad thing here! I highly recommend stopping by Ridge View. They have both dine-in and drivethruoptions, super convenient! Read more
This place is difficult to find with GPS. Look for the smoker out front. See Pictures. BBQ is a very regional flavoured food,... much like the WV hotdog. I may have to change from a more NC vinegar flavour to something sweeter in WV. Read more
We've never had a bad experience with Ridge View, so when they posted that they were going to be having smoked meatloaf, we knew... we had to try it. I'm really glad we did, because it is amazingly good. The smoke adds a great layer of flavor to the meatloafthat I never would have considered. It's great on its own or in a sandwich. We got 2 of the sandwiches from Ridge View and afull loaf and we've been making meat loaf sandwiches non stop. Definitely recommend. Read more
We ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich platter, a hotdog and cheese fries. The BBQ was super tasty as always. Their baked beans... have lots of pulled pork in them as well and are on the sweet side. The potato salad was pretty standard. The cheese fries wereregular ol straight cut frozen fries, but the cheese sauce helped them out a lot and they weren?t bad. The hotdog was beef, andyou knew it the moment you bit into it. The coleslaw was good, but the chili wasn?t my favorite; too tangy for my preference.Certain times a year they have ramp pimento cheese and it is the holy grail of cheese spreads. Read more
When you pull into a restaurant and the traffic is wrapped around the building into the road, you've definitely picked the right... spot. I probably come here to often, the food is really good. The 4-for-Friday special is the way to go. Great variety andplenty of food for three maybe four people depending on appetite. The staff has always been friendly and fast once you get tothe ordering window. The meats all have that smoke flavor you're wanting and cooked appropriately for the correct tenderness. Read more
This place is the kind of place where you want to go if you are like me and are only eating one meal a day. If you are a normal... person and eat several times a day, even better. I got the "Rake" Burger That comes with Pimento Cheese. The freaking burgerwas literally over an inch thick clear across the whole patty, the fact that it was USDA Angus beef made it even better. Mostpeople reading this are probably sophisticated enough to know what a rake is, I didn't So for the uninitiated it's an onion, aparticularly flavorful onion. I guess they only serve them seasonally so beware it may not be available when you show up. Theside I chose was their "award-winning" mac and cheese, totally awesome! It could have been a little bit bigger portion but hey,you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. It just so happens I'm going back tomorrow and try the "Hillbilly Philly" justbecause I can but I'll tell you this, I would divert a hundred miles or more if necessary to get to this place, It's that good! I've passed this place many times but never stopped. It smells great with the BBQ aroma. Finally stopped and the food was... excellent. When I am in the area I plan on eating there now that I have tasted their food. I highly recommend it to BBQaffecianiatos. Read more
