Finally stopped here and sat at the bar to give it a shot. It's a great location on the river with decent ambiance. Loved the... place when it was Tomahawks! Prices are cheap, but that seems to be reflected in the food quality. Appetizer of cheese ballswas good but very small for $10. There was more ranch than balls. My cajun chicken pasta was sad. Literally tasted like warmmilk with mushy, over-cooked pasta. Not a speck of seasoning, no parm or breadsticks as the menu stated. Chicken felt like itwas cooked and sliced yesterday. Her pear, gorganzola and gouda pizza had neither gorganzola nor gouda but instead was shreddedcheddar out of a bag it seemed... the pears were straight out of a can, not grilled or anything. She got a cake that was goodbut the icing that was supposed to be on top was apparrently left stuck back in the box. Both of us have run and cooked incommercial kitchens, and tended bar, so the inadequacies in the food was jarring. Also the restaurant was almost empty, so itsnot like it was a busy kitchen making mistakes. Service was fine, courteous even. We noted that the bar had nothing stocked soif we asked for a coke, or a box or something she had to run to the other side of the fairly large restaurant to get it. Our waiter was good. The food was pretty good. I got the steak and gargonzola pizza. The blue cheese dressing was amazing! The... bathrooms were pretty gross. ???? The real issue was fighting off the bees in the outdoor dining. It was bad! They were swarmingand diving around us and our food. They really need to take care of the issue. Read more
Service is remarkably slow. Was there for over an hour and did not get our food. Witnessed health code violations. Also the... pasta "somehow went bad"... what? Management needs to wake up if they want to stay open. Or at least put a notice up socustomers can expect long wait times. Read more
First time going to this location. I got a club sandwich and it was really well put together. Small details like grilling the... bread and the fries were the battered, thick type. The last star I am saving until I go back and try their pizza. ???? Read more
Lovely views while eating on the patio. Calm and serene location. Waitress, bless her, was running around like a chicken with... her head cut off, I told her to breathe and relax! She kicked butt and took names (and orders of course). Highly recommendstopping in for a bite if you're in the area! Read more
Very surprised by this restaurant. Not what I had expected. I liked it! But we waited so very long to get a table and so very... long after we order. It wasn't busy. Maybe a staff issue. Food was good but I felt like it had been setting awhile. It wasbarely warm and soggy. The onion rings had been setting awhile in oil they were soggy. Overall it was nice. We will try itagain. I wish I had better things to say for a local spot but if you have "pie" in your name, I'd expect a good pie. I get a straight... up pepperoni when I go somewhere new to get a feel for the pizza and this one was disappointing. Very much undercooked for mine.Sauce was decent. My wife got the pear pizza and they should take notes from other places with pear pizzas...don't throw 1/4slices of pear on the pizza. Dice it up or slice it thin. It doesn't work when it's quartered. Her pizza, however, was cookednice and crispy so I wish I had the same experience. My friend got some nachos. The pork was good, but the layout was prettysad. Chips, pork and shredded lettuce. For some reason the cheese for the nachos was on the bottom. How does that make sense?Generally speaking, the food needs tweaked. It wasn't bad overall but undercooked pizza for a pizza restaurant is a pretty bigissue. Our server was nice and he was attentive. The location on the river is really great but we did decide to dine inside toavoid the wait for the patio. This place seems close to greatness, just need to tighten things up a bit. Read more
Average place with very hit or miss service. It?s one redeeming feature is that it?s on the river and if you sit outside on a... nice day it?s pleasant. The Buffalo chicken dip is pretty good, but everything else is just like the service; hit or miss.Everything on the menu is either great or not, and sadly it changes every time you visit.
