My first time here and definitely my last! ALL of the food had zero taste. Got the Greek wings as an app and they were soaked in... grease and tasted weird. Then my salad was watery with zero flavor. Ordered chicken tortellini and penne diavola both were blandand chicken tasted weird. Definitely don?t recommend this place if your looking for a flavorful meal! Read more

Typically a pretty good restaurant, but a bad experience on Saturday. I love the food selection, but sometimes the wait staff is... lacking. This last visit, that was the case, big time. The waiter took our order just fine, dropped off ourmeals....and........goodbye waiter! That was it...we finished our meals, emptied our drinks and waited for a VERY long time. There are two sections to the restaurant and we were in the back one (closer to the wine shop). We looked around for the waitereventually, and he was nowhere to be found. Oddly, the manager breezed by our clearly finished table several times, noting itbut doing nothing as well- he seemed much more interested in a "regular" table of customers. When I did catch the waiter by thefront of the restaurant coming out of the kitchen, I got his attention by asking where he went to??? He said "Oh sorry, Ihaven't actually worked the back section in 2 years...." I guess this was his way of saying he completely forgot about us?? Heswiftly dropped the check and popped away. As we left, he was clearly talking to the manager about it, but the manager did notengage us. This was interesting and not particularly representative of the restaurant as it usually ranges from a goodexperience to sometimes a very good experience. They just need to vet/train their wait staff better, work in teams when"abandoned" tables are noticed, and pay attention as management to ALL the tables a bit more often. Read more

Server was great (Margaret). Gyro was fantastic! Chicken was seasoned well, but was over cooked by about an hour. I was told... management wouldn?t do anything about it. So you traded a bad entrée for a 2 star review. Just passing thru, I didn?t want afree dessert. Read more

It?s been 12 years since we?ve had Giorgio?s, as we?ve moved out of state; but today we finally made a trip back to the... Montclair area and our first stop was an early dinner?it?s just as we remembered, exceptional food. Our order, Chicken Sorintinowas perfectly done?an item that we?ve had every time we?ve been there, even if it wasn?t on the menu?nicely done Read more

I thought that with a name like Giorgio?s I would be in for delicious and authentic Italian food. Sadly this was not the case. ... I ordered the Chicken francaise and was thoroughly underwhelmed. Not only did the meal not come with bread (I?ve never been toan Italian restaurant that did not provide bread before the meal), the salad was out of a 99¢ bag of iceberg lettuce fromWalmart. The tomatoes were starting to go bad as well. As for the chicken; it was dry, was not thoroughly coated with eggbatter, and contained cartilage throughout. Additionally, there was skin or some other type of connective tissue that preventedme from separating pieces into bites with my fork. This meal just wasn?t doing it for me. Frankly, I could have made a betterchicken francaise myself at home. Whoever cooked this meal was simply going through the motions and does not belong in arestaurant bearing an Italian name. This meal would have been fine if it only cost the $6 or $7 dollars the ingredientsprobably cost, but for nearly $20 this is just unacceptable. I politely returned the chicken to the waiter and asked for acheeseburger knowing that it would take serious effort on the cooks part to screw up. The cheeseburger was decent, although Iwas disappointed by the lack of cheddar cheese (only choices were Swiss, American, or provolone I believe). However, the issuehere was the fries, which were dry and very burnt. They tasted like old, stale fries that the kitchen staff simply reheated ina toaster oven. Again, unacceptable at this price point! Even McDonald?s provides hot, fresh fries with a combo meal. Ielected to decline dessert as if the quality of the main course was any indication, i would likely not be satisfied with thedessert. So while the waiter was very nice and the wait time was not long, the quality of the food combined with its high pricemean that I would not return to this restaurant. Read more

First time ordering here at the recommendation of a former employee. The food was decent, I couldn't eat mine because they put... parmesan on top which I am allergic to and I wasn't aware so I didn't think to ask for it without, no big deal, I just gave itto my mom. The bread was a bit too crunchy for my taste and they gave me the wrong juice with my kids meal. They did not includesilverware either. Cheesecake was good at least. Overall, not worth the price I paid. Customer service is amazing though.Friendly atmosphere and small town feel inside the restaurant. Read more

Great quality food and good service. Advertised as Italian, but seems to have mostly a Greek menu. Menu is not as diversified as... I would expect, but again the food tasted authentic & delicious. Read more
