Had an amazing lunch here today. Grand, historical setting with great lake views, fantastic food and wonderful service. Got a... new favorite cocktail after drinking a Bourbon Smash there. It was perfect. We had the salad with roasted beets and tenderloinand the salad with salmon. Both were out of this world delicious. Have been here a couple times before when traveling throughand it's always a treat. I think they can make it another 100 years with such a great atmosphere and product. Read more
The Duluth waterfront is full of charm and Pickwick certainly holds its own. Great pub atmosphere. Clean and full of character.... Lots of beer options on tap. Great collection of Scotch and Bourbon. Friendly staff. Dylan was a great bartender. Excellentlocal beer suggestions. Read more
Maybe it was the stormy weather infringing on the North Shore views, but I was fairly underwhelmed by my dining experience.... Sure, it was good. Quite delicious, actually. But I would say that it was overpriced. Our waitress was super nice! I felt badfor her, as she was running around as fast as she could to ensure she was taking care of all her tables. I’m sure therestaurant is short of employees, which places more stress on the current ones and can affect the customer experience. Overall,the food was nice, but expensive. Would maybe come again? Pickwick is absolutely amazing!!! The customer service was excellent! I had asked them to reserve a table in front of their... gorgeous fire to help celebrate our friends engagement and they saved the spot for us. The food was phenomenal! The smokedwhite fish, and sausage and cheese plate we're the best apps I've had so far in Duluth. If you love meat than do yourself afavor and get the rib eye...cooked to perfection. Read more
Second time in two years my family has stopped here on the way back from our North shore trip. Our drinks were wonderful and... our food was fantastic. Walleye fingers were tasty, Ruben was great but the real jewel was the homemade jalapeno poppers andthe stuffed mushrooms. The poppers might be too spicy for some Minnesotans but just right for my family! Read more
Was the Best steaks we have ever had hands down!!! We travel a lot through out the us mostly in Texas and Oklahoma and we have... never came across a steak this amazing! Everything else we had was also amazing! The service was perfect kind made you feellike friends/family ????! I'm extremely happy we chose here for dinner! Last yr we tried to and it was closed or somethingbecause of covid but we made it back and it was extremely worth it!!!! A definite must and we will be back! 110% worth themoney! Read more
An amazing place with very generous portion sizes. They have excellent martinis. We ordered onion rings and calamari for an... appetizers. Hickory and Napoleon bacon burgers and Manhattan clam chowder as a main dish. Read more
One of the very first times I went to the Pickwick, I made friends with Reba who is now a friend and my favorite server whenever... I go. I’m a local foodie, and I can honestly say that the Pickwick is one of the only consistently good restaurants in town inregards to service and the quality of food for the price. I usually get the filet mignon which is excellent (my husband lovesthe jambalaya), but I didn’t this trip. My friend ordered the artichoke dip appetizer which was really great because it had aItalian sausage in it for a spicy kick. Excellent! I tried a Black Orchid ice cream drink that was a little fruity andchocolatey- perfect! My friend ordered the soup special which happened to be clam chowder. She told Reba to tell whoever madeit that it was as good as the chowder she’d had in Boston… high praise! My tenderloin tidbit dinner was tasty… not tooover seasoned, the grilled mushrooms were soft but not mushy, and I highly recommend the fries! I am a French fry connoisseur,and these are worth the calories! Yes the lighting is dark, and the decor is a bit odd, but all in all, I highly recommend thePickwick for a nice dinner out… and don’t forget to ask for Reba! Read more
