Reviews for Grandma's Saloon & Grill Canal Park in Duluth, MN
We visited while passing through on a Thursday for a late lunch at 1 pm. Restaurant was clean, food was great, employees were... polite, but service was painfully slow after waiting 40 minutes to be seated. We had the Walleye Sandwich, Cajun Chicken,Chicken Pot Pie, and Chicken Strip Basket. Everything was very tasty! Parking was a challenge with our 30’ travel trailer, notsure there would have been room on a weekend. They also add a 5% gratuity to every check for the kitchen staff. Read more
We have to go to Grandma's every time we visit Duluth. We love that they have a dog friendly patio area but you may have to wait... awhile. I love their onion rings. The kids liked their spaghetti. The Monte Cristo and fish/chips were great as well. Read more
First time here and left full and happy. Our server was super knowledgeable and made great recommendations for beer and food. I... had the cranberry turkey club and it was delicious. Everything was perfect. Sweet potatoes fries were exactly what I wanted. Therestaurant has so many things to look at too with all the signs and decorations. Kids would love it! Great gift shop too withreasonably priced merchandise and a little chocolate shop. Thanks for the hospitality. We’ll be back next year! Read more
Delicious food. Dog patio!! We were able to eat dinner with our dog. The soup is delicious! The staff was really sweet and... accommodating. My son ate the chicken tenders. He is picky and loves them. It is right by the bridge and has an upper patio witha view. We walked down to the light houses after dinner. Read more
The food was very good. I ordered the pork ribs with their BBQ sauce. They tasted pretty standard. Service was nice and cool... atmosphere. The roof wasn't open yet sadly. I also had wild rice with my break which also tasted really good with the cheesy cupthey gave to put on top. I'd definitely come back here when I visit Duluth. Read more
I had really fond memories of going to Grandma's as a child. There is lots of kitsch and it is in a great location near the... Aerial Lift Bridge. It was too busy and we were seated quickly. The food portions are large. I went with the Raspberry ChickenSalad and a non-alcoholic drink that had ginger in in (I can't remember what it was called). The Husband went with the CranberryTurkey Club. All were good, just not as good as my memories were. Also, service was a bit slow and the table was sticky. Theshining light was the chocolates we had on our way out. Those were amazing and memorable. Still a fun place to visit and it willstill be on my list each time I am in town. Read more
When you walk in the ambience is amazing! All the decorations and things hanging from the ceiling were really neat. We've been... to Duluth many times and have never been in here. I'm glad we decided to eat there. The food selection was great. I had thefish and chips and my husband had the mushroom and Swiss. Both were delicious! From now on we will definitely be eating hereat least once when we come to Duluth. Highly recommend. They also have a cute gift shop Read more
Place was very busy downstairs and could not grab a spot for four. Going upstairs we had much better results. We sat down and... the bartender did take a long time to get to us because he was chatting up a corner of the bar with two women. Soon a member ofour party expressed that we should just leave. Very soon after that he came over to get our drinks. After that everythingsettled down into fun and the bartender was chatting us up as well. Beer, mixed drinks, silly sweet terrible shots. Before weleft the place it became very very busy with a pirate themed birthday party. Cool friends indeed! Read more
