Reviews for Fitger's Brewhouse Brewery and Grille in Duluth, MN
Fitger's Brewhouse feels like a Duluth institution. The history of the building is very cool. I was luke warm on the beer. ... I'm a hazy NE IPA girl. The beer was good but not 5 star good. My black and blue burger was delicious. I enjoyed the diveyatmosphere inside. All in all definitely worth a visit. Read more
I enjoyed the food here. The server was nice, friendly and attentive. Never had to flag her down to get something, she was... always in the vicinity checking her tables. I ordered the poutine burger. Burger was juicy, gravy was good, cheese curdsexcellent. It was more like an open faced sandwich, ate it with a fork and knife as it was covered in gravy. Fries were a littletoo crispy for me, but still had a good flavor to them. They do brew their own beers, which unfortunately I did not try. Goodplace to grab a bite to eat with friends. Read more
Despite being busy, our wait was about 15 minutes and we enjoyed a nice beer in the adjacent bar. Our server was friendly and... attentive, and helped us pay our tab quickly when we told her we were in a time crunch. I ordered the Wild Rice burger out ofcuriosity and I loved it! The fresh pretzels were also outstanding, although the ?spicy? cheese sauce was flavorful at most.Could have packed more of a punch. Overall a fun spot in a cool building overlooking the water! Great food in a nice eclectic setting. Nice variety of beers but too many IPAs were offered when we visited. The black and... blue burger was excellent. Try the onion rings with the horseradish sauce. Nice casual ambience with good service. There wasan unusual habanero beer which was quite spicy. Read more
There were a lot of GF and vegetarian options which was nice to see. Many of the dishes had spicy ingredients like jalapeños. I... had the Elk burger which was really good. Tables are very close together and not very covid friendly. Overall a nice restaurantdown by all the local shops. Read more
Our second time visiting Fitgers Brew House. Wild rice burgers are where it's at. Really flavorful and an interesting departure... from a standard burger. Definitely something to try if you are visiting or new to the area. Service was great both times.First time we visited several weeks ago. It was crazy packed as it's gotten colder definitely much less crowded. If you arestopping by when it's warm, highly recommend reservations. Great selection of seasonal beers and ciders. If wild rice burgersweren't so good, I might actually try something else on the menu, but keep coming back for that. Read more
When we arrived the place was jam packed, there was a wait of about 25 minutes which wasn?t a problem since you can wander the... shops while you wait! The location was excellent. The hostess didn?t seem like she wanted to be there and didn?t even greet uswhen we walked up to the stand, she just stared at me until I said ?2 please.? The food was moderate, we ordered the pretzelswith cheese dip, the French onion burger and the smoked fish wrap. The best thing we had there were the beer pattered fries. Theburger patty was dry and hadn?t been seasoned at all. The toppings were very good, but they couldn?t overcome a dry unseasonedpatty. The fish wrap was about 75% lettuce. The flavor was fine, but not exceptional. We also ordered a glass of Merlot and thesock hop sour. The wine was a very small pour for $8, and the glass came out wet with water on the outside, like it had justbeen pulled from the dish washer and no one bothered to dry it before it came out. The sour was great with notes of guava andmaybe grapefruit? The server never removed our plates from our appetizer and we had a small table so it got very crowded.Perhaps the most irritating thing about the visit was that the tab was $68 and had a 5% gratuity added, for only 2 people?!?Glad I read the receipt before leaving my tip. I wouldn?t recommend a visit here. Read more
Small town atmosphere. Lots of Hand Crafted beers! Apricot Wheat and Golden Lighthouse were a favorite. Unique twists to... typical sandwiches. All very good. For example: Turkey Reuben which can also be called a Rachel came with a cranberry sauce -excellent! Mushroom/Swiss burger came with a sauce that had a twist to it. Read more
