My wife and I stopped in there during a visit a couple of days ago to the area and stopped in on a whim. We loved this place. ... Classic up north Minnesota bar/restaurant. The bartender/server was extremely friendly and timely. We both decided on acheeseburger for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the burgers were with buttered and toasted buns and thehand cut fries were awesome too. This review is for the bar/grill only as I've never utilized the resort portion of this business. We arrived at 12pm, the staff... was very friendly and service was quick. I had the nachos, they were cold, it is tough to eat cold globs of canned nacho sauceand cold unmelted shredded cheese. The meat however tasted good, cold but good flavor. I will definitely go back but I don'tknow if I'd eat there again. On a positive, the drinks were cold, staff was attentive. Read more

Finding a good well balanced line cook must be hard. Our recent visit was not a great dinner. We ordered a few things to go... along with dine - in, there were only a few people in the bar. Our range recently stopped working and wanted a few items to takehome.The next day I opened the Buffalo wings for lunch, they were so over done there was no way I could eat them. How in theworld could you even let these go out of the kitchen? We purchased 2 orders and threw both away. We are out a complete meal andI will be contacting them. We have had a few meals now that have not been great and a very long wait for food.
