Okay, i will be completely honest. With a name like Uncle Jacks Meat House I expected to se gator tail and rattle snake on the... menu but what I got was an upscale steak house and bar... with a slight hipster coffee house vibe, which was cool. Been here many times for lunch and decided to try dinner. Cool vibe, decor, bar area and outdoor seating. Large menu with many... options. The drink options are solid, especially bourbon. We had the merlot to start and then grabbed a glass of McKenna 10year. Started with the bacon app which I definitely recommend. I had the prime center cut filet with brussel sprouts, cornsouffle and gold mash potatoes. We also got the Jack Pot seafood option. Everything was good, except the brussel sprouts wereover cooked & dry and the filet was overcooked too. The corn souffle was too sweet also. The Jack Pot meal has solid seafood buthas an interesting flavor and aftertaste. I wish I could give this place a better review...maybe 3.5 Unfortunately, the main attraction for a meat house is the meat. ... The ribeye underperformed. At a price tag of $39, I would have expected a meatier selection, at least 1 inch thick. What I gotwas too thin and therefore could not produce the medium rare, savory flavor you would expect from a quality steak. Presentationgood - yes! Tasty espresso flavor - yes! Fantastic overall experience. The food was great and our server, Bailey was very attentive without being overbearing. The food... took a while to reach our table but they knocked off an appetizer and apologized. I had the Choice Ribeye, wife ordered thePrime Filet Mignon, and daughter ate the Salmon with risotto. We each enjoyed our meals tremendously. The iceberg salad wasamazing as were the Chicharrons. Definitely worth the price and looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommended! Read more

The food did take a bit to prepare and they absolutely went to great lengths to get our order right... which got them 5 stars! I... can see why the Ooey Gooey Mooey Burger has won awards because it was fantastic! Loved the square potatoes and onions withpeppers. Coffee was great!
