The waiter was nice the food was hot but not a enough seasoning in the food. To plan need more favor and the side salad didn't... have no cheese nothing special about it. 100% perfect. The veal cutlet parmigiana was New York diner style, exactly how I like it, meaning heavily breaded and deep... fried. I don't know how they are making any money charging only $15.95 which includes a soup or salad. I had French friesinstead of the spaghetti. The server, Sylvia, was excellent, plenty of refills on the drinks. It is not cold inside and themusic is not on too loud. Introduction: The hostess was kind and greeted us with a smile. Ambiance: The restaurant's décor was not vibrant. It looks... dim. The seats and tables are old and looked worn. I like a vintage look but the appearance to me, was simply old. Food: I hadthe chicken and waffles with a side of cheese grits. The waffles were ok not as hot as I would have liked but edible. Thetenders were hot and tender only downside was a couple of the pieces had some gristle in them, making eating those piecesdifficult. The cheese grits were hands-down the best I have ever had! They were hot and the cheese was consistent throughoutwith each spoonful. They taste as if the cheese was cooked in with the grits not placed on top after the grits are cooked. Myfiancé had French toast, bacon, and eggs. His food was good. We both had a good portion size. Price: The price was consistentwith an average local diner. Experience: My second experience eating here was not as pleasant as my first time. The waitresswas the same on both visits. She was friendlier and more attentive on the first visit but less attentive and seemed "over it" onmy second visit. We were not asked if we needed anything additional before she brought the check. Will/Will Not Return: I willreturn in the future because my experience was both pleasant and unpleasant so I would like to see how my third visit would be. I really did like the grits ????! Stars: I gave it 3/5 because I think they should invest in new furniture and upgrade theoverall décor to make the appearance more vibrant and warm. I picked some adventurous menu items for a diner and was PLEASANTLY SATISFIED. The pasta was flavorful, the lamb gyro was... delicious. The wings were crisp, juicy and tasty. Delicious, hot and great quality. We ordered a basic pancake meal with, eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, and a veggie skillet.... The pancakes are not pictured because they came out later, but they were yummy, the batter was good, and the pancakes werefluffy. I gave it three stars because after all they?re a business with people who depend on that paycheck. Apart from that if you took... all the reviews and rolled it into one it would be the perfect review. I think locally it?s a hit, it?s next to a highway and itisn?t Burger King. Had the wings, dry, tomato based sauce, curiously ?fried? but still soft. Sent them back and got a cheeseburger instead and I didn?t take a photo because it just wouldn?t matter. The meat was grey probably frozen patty on a 59 centbun with a tiny slice of plastic wrapped individual cheese product. Sent that back to. The kid ate his wings but they were drytoo. So for 17 bucks for the wings and 13 I think for the burger just isn?t worth the money. The fries however are ideal. Moldyceiling tiles above the sitting area really let you know they care.
