Absolutely magical. It was even better with the restaurant closed. We had the mountains completely to ourselves. Unlike a... crowded visit to the smokies. The room was gorgeous and a small kitchen was perfect. Can?t recommend this enough if your lookingfor peace and quiet with a priceless view. The restaurants in town were delish. Have been to McCloud several times. Rooms are amazing. The view is breathtaking. Food, except for our visit last night, is... delicious. The prime rib was unseasoned and dry. The salmon was fishy. The asparagus was so undercooked that it snapped like astick. For 121.00 for two people it should have been so much better than that. Our waitress was fantastic and very efficientand sweet. There was a wedding last night which we felt attributed to the poor quality of food. We?ll be back for sure but mightwant to rethink the wedding service if you?re also open to the public. It?s a great place and we would recommend it to anyone.Was just really sad about the food since we brought friends and family from out of town and we raved about your food, only toleave them disappointed. Amazing views food is great Wife and I had BBQ sandwiches friend had Italian dish and was great, another had ribs and was... delicious. We were in town staying at Walden Woods riding SXS , short drive and recommend it ,service was good. We thoughtprices would be high since you have to make reservations, they were reasonable and dress code was casual. We will be back nexttrip. Read more

We love McClouds Mountaintop restaurant. We took our out of town family there last week and everything was fantastic! We had a... late reservation so some of the items we wanted we no longer available but that didn't take away from our enjoyment. We justordered what was available because everything they have is so good! And John our waiter I can't say enough good things about. Hetried so hard to make our visit the best it could be. Of course the view is outstanding, the food superior and the servicegreat. Although this restaurant too has been dealt with some hard blows due to the pandemic they still try their best to live upto the 5* rep they've had for so long.
