This was the perfect place for our 2 year anniversary! The food was absolutely delicious and the perfect serving size. The chef... came out and apologized for how long our entrees took, but honestly, we didn't even realize between our bread, salad, and wine.It made our night, though, that she took the time to apologize. 10 out of 10, would recommend. Thoroughly enjoy our dinner, came in as a big group and returned the following evening because of how great the place is! Great... cocktails, Gabriel the bartender was spot on. Wonderful menu options, we had the ?Man? Candy and Brie as appetizers, enjoyed theshrimp, chicken and steak special in our party. What a fantastic place to eat! We got there early for our reservation and had one of the apple-flavored old fashion, wow it was... so delicious. The bar staff was friendly and full of information about Dubuque, very personal. Then came the superb mussels inwine and onion sauce with delicate homemade rye bread mmmm. Wife had the best tenderloin filled with an incredible flavoredbutter on a bed of mashed, shivered carrots and pieces of broccoli. I had the stupendous NY strip prepared to perfection on thesame bed of potatoes. Last but not least was the fantastic tasting lemon chiffon torte. What an experience, what an event. Between my appetizer (artichoke dip- phenomenal) - soup (beef stew - absolutely packed with flavor), and the meatloaf (bacon... wrapped, with fresh mozzarella, broccolini, and sour cream mashed potatoes), washed down with a good locally brewed IPA, thiswas probably the best 50 dollar meal with tip I?ve had in a long time. My husband and I enjoyed a romantic dinner on a Thursday evening. We had the mussels for an appetizer, the Arctic char and... salmon for the main entrée, and a blueberry brownie for dessert. Definitely was our favorite place for dinner. The service andambience was top notch. Read more
