Came here at lunch to get something to eat as soon as the diner opened and was disappointed at how the food display looked. Many... of the vegetables seemed to be sitting in liquid, the beef tips or stew was not tasty. The chicken was ok, but not good, butedible. The salad bar display did not look good, so I skipped it. The peach dessert was very gummy and left a bad after taste inmy mouth. I have not eaten at this restaurant in two years due to job relocation and I'm amazed at how much the food quality ofthis Ole Country Buffet has changed compared to the other Country Buffets in other neighboring cities. I'm giving it 2 starsonly because the staff at counter are so friendly when you enter and leave, and because of the one guy that kept bringing thefood out to the bar answered my question. On the way out I noticed there were not as many people at this restaurant as it hasbeen in the past during lunch hours. Needless to say when I came back two days later with a guest I steered them to anotherrestaurant. Manager/Owner please bring the quality of your food back.SOON. Read more
Came here on the recommendation of a friend - absolutely love it!! The food was nice and fresh and the variety was lovely. On... certain days they have specific menu items. Will definitely be coming back in seafood day and any other day! Oh! Almost forgot,those marshmallow desserts had me wanting to husband some away in my wife's bag!! I was actually a little surprised in a good way about this place. As with most country cooking places I like to compare the big... three. For me that?s fried chicken, mac and cheese, and greens. You can usually tell by these three how everything else isgoing to taste. The greens were great, cooked and seasoned well. The fried chicken was just a bit over cooked but I reallylike the crust and the flavor. Sadly, the mac and cheese was disappointing. More like boxed velveeta mac and cheese than goodole fashioned home made mac and cheese. The salad was freshly dumbed out of the bag. The service was great and people werefriendly. Ole Times Country Buffet is AMAZING. This buffet has the best buffet food out of any other buffet I have ever been to! The taste... of the food was great and perfectly seasoned.
