Never go here. Oxtails so tough like they came off a rubber cow. Candy yams straight out the can. Really you need to call them... out the can yams. Yall ain't even try to put butter,cinnamon or brown sugar on them. How do you even have the b@!!$ to serveoxtails like that. I hate to do this, but the last time I came my food was so plain no Season at all very disappointing ???? will not be returning... this was my 2nd time trying to give then another chance and it was still the same! I will not bash this establishment with a bunch of negative comments. I will say that there is room for improvement. I had pork... chops potatoe salad cabbage and yams. I actually ordered green beans but I got greens instead. The greens were a bit bitter. Alittle sugar would remedy that. The cabbage wasn't seasoned and no onions or peppers in it. The potatoe salad and yams werepretty good. The pork chops were also not seasoned at all. They were fried perfectly but the lack of seasoning made theexperience underwhelming. Overall the customer service was awesome. The owner's should consider having a quality control tastetest panel. This will give your restaurant an edge in this competitive market. Good luck!!! I ordered Brisket and Cornish Hen. Let me tell you, these people cannot cook anything. Both orders are in the garbage and I... paid $62.00 for my lesson. They should not be in the business. Most of the eateries in my local are lousy. Nobody knows howto season food. All they do is use heat to cook it with absolutely NO flavor. Read more
My daughter order fish and mac n cheese. The smell caught my attention. She was kind enough to share her mac with me and that... encouraged me to go ahead and called in an order????????. The lady who took my phone order was super friendly. Customer servicereally matters to me. She listened to my diet restrictions and helped me pick my sides accordingly. I p/u my order and it wasstill pipping hot when I got home. My fish(fillet sole) was fried perfectly, my corn was sweet(its the only dish I addedseasoning to, I prefer mine to be peppery with extra butter), my greens were cooked well, my hush puppies were also fresh, I gota medium mac n cheese and devoured it. Pretty good place to grab some food on your cheat day! I was very surprised by their turkey chops--I've been to few places that... know how to actually prepare them so happy with that. Now for the sides, greens are good and they don't use meat in them sothat's a plus. Pass on the mac n cheese. It was basic and disappointing. Reminded me of something out of a box trying to pretendit wasn't out the box. Oh and if you want peach cobbler and it's before 2 p.m. forget about it. It won't be ready! Read more
Good Good Good soul food. The service was exceptional. The food quality great and mighty good portions. Restaurant atmosphere... was welcoming and "home-like," as if you were at a cookout or casual sunday brunch. Besides that, no complaints...Will def bereturning. Read more
