Looked for an off the beaten path restaurant place while visiting Portsmouth. This place is an awesome local place, it?s small... and we had to wait for a table of 4 but the offered free coffee while you waited which wasn?t that long. The food wasdelicious. This is my new spot of which WAS the friendly toast in portmouth. Housemade biscuits and gravy was outstanding. I?deat here and this every morning if I could. Wife got one of their pancakes which was huge and delicious. No pics because we atethat in seconds. Read more

We had a little bit of a wait, like 20 minutes. It is a small place. But I'd wait over an hour for this place. My first bite I... moaned omg out loud and I still felt that way on my last bite. The food was amazing, the staff was great. The atmosphere wasfun. I even had to take a cinnamon roll to go, cause I saw one go by and was like I need that. Read more

Absolutely delicious. We got their Captain?s French Toast and omelette special, both of which are fantastic and not expensive.... Definitely worthy of the high rating on here. Read more

Was there with my partner, and we both ordered the 2 Eggs with Corned Beef Hash and Home Fries with Pancakes. Everything was... superb, from the service, to the food, and the decor. VERY intimate spacing in the dining room. May be a potential issue forlarge parties, but with the wait. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our experience at The Fat Dog Kitchen, would surely return inthe near future. Read more

From where I was sitting I got breakfast and a show. This is because you can see right into the kitchen and watch them work... thwir magic. I had the Fat Elvis, 2huch was the most decadent breakfast I have ever eaten. I saw that it was recommended by oneof my favorite food blogs, so I tried it even though I was skeptical that Nutella and peanut butter might be too much with thebacon and banana. I was wrong to question it, they know what they are doing. Me brother ordered that bagel sandwich and be saidit was good, which it must have been, because I barely got a pic before he devoured most of it within 5 minutes. My dad orderedthe special which was a breakfast scramble of some kind served in a cast iron skillet. I got a chance to try that one and it wassoooo good I took home his leftovers. Read more

This is the best breakfast I have ever eaten. I don?t leave reviews often but I absolutely had to this time. The feel of this... little hole in the wall diner is so personal and cute, and the chefs are absolute masters of their craft. The hurricane offlavors that compliment each other so perfectly almost made me cry. Good luck choosing from the absolutely mouthwatering menu. This was our first time here, but far from our last. You?ll need to come back and again and again. I can?t say enough about howimpressed I am. Seriously. Read more
