Would absolutely recommend Back Alley Pizza! Dave and the group at Back Alley were there for us and helped cater the late... quesadillas, wraps for lunch, and pizza for our wedding weekend! Dave and his team were VERY responsive,100% on time, and onpoint when it came to providing our meals. The food was delicious. People specifically loved the pizza. I had read this was the best pizza around so we made a special stop here when we were in town. I did not realize it was... literally a take out joint. We went there as a family, thinking it was a sit down place. I didn?t realize the cheese was aprovolone/mozzarella mix, and I am super weird about cheese and will only eat 100% mozza. So, I really struggled to figure outwhat I wanted to order. The woman working was so patient. Everything had the cheese mix on it. I ended up with a club wrap withno cheese, when my heart was set on pizza. The breadsticks were good and tasty. And my child was acting crazy because he wastold he couldn?t have pop and I am grateful there wasn?t any other patrons there to witness his tantrum. The staff was patientwhile we dealt with him and tried to order. There are little picnic tables around the corner, and when I say little I mean, liketwo adults can fit comfortably. We have six people in our family and we took up all the tables. And there is very little shade.I asked the staff to bring our stuff out to us and they did which was very nice and considerate, considering they are a carryout joint. My kids and husband got the pizza and they loved it, there wasn?t any left when we finished eating. Read more
I?m from out of town but felt at home with the welcoming friendly service and exceptional pizza. A must go.
This place is a hidden gem. Seriously some of the best pizza in Michigan. We drive an hour round trip just to get this pizza and... the only downside so far is having to choose between which delicious specials to get! The Seventh Heaven is always amazing andso cheesy! The Just Horsing Around is always a close second. Can't wait to visit again soon! Read more
Tavern style pizza. Relatively thin, crispy (and possibly unleavened) crust with a thick, cooked tomato sauce and lots of... cheese. Admittedly this is one of my least favorite styles of pizza - I just can't get into that dense crackery crust, but ifyou're a midwesterner this pizza will be very familiar to you.
