Reviews for Hots Deli in Dothan, AL
Not impressed. Prices seem way high, especially for the quality of food. My son really wanted pizza for lunch, and while I had... never eaten at Hots, I knew pizza was on the menu. I ordered a 7" cheese and pepperoni for him. So first thing, there's no cruston the outside to hold onto, so you're either sticking your fingers in the toppings or eating with a knife and fork. I decidedknife and fork was the way to go given my son is 5 and didn't want to deal with the mess. So that brings me to issue #2. Callingthis a pizza is a stretch. It has pizza toppings and pizza sauce...and it's round...that's about where the similarities end. This was clearly a tortilla "crust", which would make this closer to a quesadilla than a pizza. Crust really is the wrong word, because it implies crispness or firmness. This had neither. It was about what you'd expect from a floppy tortilla with greasytoppings on it. The sandwich I had wasn't bad, but it was probably the most vanilla sandwich I've had outside of two slices ofwhite bread and some Oscar Mayer deli meat. Read more
As a family we have been this restaurant twice only to see our food placed on the shelf while others were served or provided... with their meals and out the door. The only time we were helped is when our order was placed, but we were passed by severaltimes and never acknowledged. The cashier in the front who had taken our order eventually realized that we were still standingthere and went and picked up our bag off the shelf. We were there both times between 15- 20 mins and again we watched others whocame in after us be served or pick up their to go orders and go out the door. We won?t be back. As this restaurant loveseveryone?s money, but obviously not everyone. Read more
To be fair, I've only been here once, so maybe I just went on an off day... But, I've been wanting a good reuben since I moved... here and that's what brought me in. The place appeared to be clean and comfortable, and staff was nice enough, but I chose toget my sandwich to go. Once I got my reuben home and unwrapped it, I was instantly disappointed. It was small for a sandwich Ijust paid $7 for... Although the 'fillings' were pretty good, there wasn't much to it, and the sandwich type bread was startingto get stale on the edges... I had to supplement the meal with a bowl of cereal so I wouldn't get hungry again right away. Ireally do think there's good potential here, but I don't know if I'll go back soon. Hopefully, when and if I do, it will be upto par with it's reputation. Read more
This is my favorite place in Dothan to get a sandwich! The turkey sandwich is SO GOOD! I come in here at least once a week, lol.... The staff is also top notch. One in particular (I believe her name starts with a J) but she brings the food out, and she isalways so nice and makes sure everyone has everything they need! I love coming here. Thank you hots deli! The freshest and best sandwiches. Great pizza as well. Roasted red pepper soup was awesome
Great food at good prices. Always have a friendly and welcoming staff. They really seem to go above and beyond to make you feel... welcome. Good selection of pre-made ready to-go items for quick in and out. Sandwiches are much better than the competition, soups are fresh and hot, and the wings are good too. Dining area and restrooms are always clean. Read more

First time experience at Hot's Deli based on a mention by a neighbor. My wife ordered the Santa Fe Wrap with the Greek pasta... salad and I chose the Rueben sandwich with Fries. Great flavor and meal size was substantial! Possibly oddly, I'd note that the"to go" packaging was put together very well - efficient and solid for transporting. Staff was friendly and store was clean.Definitely will return and recommend! Read more
