Loved the grilled shrimp. Didn't care for the cold gumbo. Husband really liked the catfish - didn't like sweet taste of beans.

I was pleasantly surprised by Pier 27! I'm usually very hard on catfish restaurants in general, and I put this up close to the... top. My fish was great, my wife's shrimp was great, hush puppies were fresh... Can't ask for a lot more! Our waitress kept ourdrinks topped off, and all the staff was super friendly! Food was great and waitress was great also( very attentive ). I had the whole catfish ( you could tell they were real American... farm raised ). Wife had the frog legs and they were wonderful also. Atmosphere was good, place was about 3/4 occupied. Place hadbeen closed for past two weekends due to holidays. Weather was rainy/nasty so I figured that kept some people in. Very good food!! Service was great. Shelby was a very nice waitress. Clean restaurant and the view was a plus!
