So delicious! The challah French toast with the fresh fruit and whipped cream was absolutely amazing! Accompanied by some bacon... and a sandia mia (their watermelon tequila drink) which were both really good. The backyard garden was very pretty - very greenwith hanging vines. i went because if the reviews. WRONG MOVE!! They must be fake. Or the patrons need glasses and dont eat at really good... restaurants. The place is dirty!! Nothing special. Would not go again. Dining room is a 2 out of 10. Very run down interiorand not very clean. The table for 14 takes up too much prime real estate. The booths have ripped seats. Has a side area behinda curtain that was unappealing. The outside dining patio area needs an update. Food is a 4 out of 10. Eh. Champagne Cocktailand Old Fashioned were nothing special. The appetizers came before the cocktails. The chicken liver toast was mushy andunappetizing. The mushroom toast was just ok. Both could be small entrees—very large for starters. The burger was dryish.The fries were good but VERY salty. The orecchiette pasta was tasty and cooked perfectly. The pork milanese was weirdly spicy. Very odd restaurant. not my first time here, but came again for restaurant week and was reminded why Harper’s is maybe the best restaurant in... Westchester. we ordered the fried brussels sprouts (you need to get this just trust me) and the poached calamari to start.calamari was perfectly tender and well dressed. then we got the rainbow trout and the fried duck. rainbow trout tastes likehealth and wellness in the best way possible and the fried duck is like the ultimate joy of hedonism except it doesn’t evenfeel that excessive bc it doesn’t sit heavy in your stomach and the duck just wants to fall apart in your mouth so it’s justright yaknow? then we finished with the blood orange sorbet and the salted caramel pot de crème which tastes the way a $7000plain white tee hangs, it’s unassuming but also luxurious and perfect. the sorbet was also tart and amazing, greattexture. tl;dr eat at harper’s you won’t regret it Read more
I have been here a few time. Food and service have always been great, but I specifically am giving this review because today was... my first time having their brunch and holy moly! Best French toast I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t know what they do to itbut I know that it’s a thick piece of Colon bread they marinade it then they fry it and butter the outside is buttery andcrisp and the inside is like an absolute dream. It’s warm, gooey, pillowy! Mine came topped with a fresh whipped cream andthey give you a side of syrup but I swear you absolutely not need it this thing is decadent. Order it you won’t be sorry!
