This is a gem of a restaurant - an oasis in western Montana. While billed as a steakhouse, it has plenty of other great options... on the menu. Most importantly, it is a very friendly and welcoming restaurant with a professional wait staff. The ambiance ismost pleasant, allowing for conversations without yelling - even in the bar area watching football on TV. We ordered a tastycocktail first, and had a wonderful salad with a generous helping of crumbled blue cheese. This was followed by a very wellprepared walleye (pan seared and blackened). All in all, we all agreed this is worthy of four stars and we hope you have thesame experience we had! Read more

I was disappointed the patio was closed. I asked the waitress if I could try a sip of one of the rose?s by the glass, she said... yes. She brought me a whole glass, I told her I just wanted to try it. It was sweet and carbonated and not for me. I askedabout the other rose? and she didn?t know. I asked if there was anyone there who knew about the wine and said she would sendthe bartender over. That person finally came and said she didn?t know anything about wine, didn?t drink wine, and had only beenbartending a month. She also said that they don?t allow tastes of wine, just craft beers. I said it would have been helpful toknow that. The waitress said I ordered the glass which is completely false. I ordered something else that was fine. My shrimpCaesar came with next to nothing for dressing that had no flavor. My husband had a great steak salad. Surprisingly they tookoff the first glass of wine. I appreciated that and left a good tip, but it was a pretty disappointing experience. I get thewhole staffing issue, but accusing me of placing an order that I didn?t was unacceptable. Read more

On the recommendation of a local, we headed to the Den. I was rather surprised I'd never been there with all my trips to Dillon... to fly fish. I had the rib eye and it was perfectly cooked. One of the best steaks I've ever had, in fact I enjoyed it more thanthe Capital Grille in DC. They have a great selection of steaks as well as other foods on their menu. Plenty of local beers ontap and a nice selection of whiskeys. The topper was the house made blueberry pie. We liked this place so much that we returnedfor another meal during our trip. Read more

Patti helped us out this evening and gave phenomenal service. Everything we ordered was delicious, seasoned well and served at... the right temp. The restaurant was clean. We ordered: huckleberry mule, sunrise mocktail, jalapeno poppers (not hot to us), beeftips w/ side salad, mashed potatoes and the seasonal vegetables (green beans), and the sirloin which was thick cut and tender, the twice baked potatoes, side salad and seasonal vegetables. We left with a to-do list box for leftovers and another with theircheesecake with huckleberry compote. Patti informed us everything is scratch made. Read more
