While staying at the Holiday Inn, we ordered room service 3 times from the attached Ice House Restaurant. Our first order was... appetizers, Artichoke dip, chicken quesadilla, and hamburger sliders, arrived within 10 minutes, delicious and hot. The next daywe ordered dinner, burger and nachos. Arrived at our room within 15 minutes hot. Burger was prepared delicious, however nachoswe LOADED, LOADED, LOADEd with both red and green peppers. Even though menu advertised peppers, there were too many to eat foreven a pepper lover like myself. So unfortunately 90% of the nachos were untouched. Unable to remove because the over abundanceof chopped peppers were infused in melted cheese. Breakfast on our 3rd day Walleye Benedict and made to order omelette arrivedat our room in 25 minutes warm and fresh. Once again the skillet potatoes were absolutely loaded with green and red peppers, butable to work around them in this meal. Eggs were prepared delicious. Walleye was sadly destroyed with enough hollandaise saucefor 5 dishes! Gross. The seasoning on the walleye was so potent even scraping it off was of no help. However the hash brown sidewere really delicious. Half of the walleye meal was left swimming on my plate in Hollandaise. We enjoyed the convenience ofhotel room service, but contacting the restaurant to place an order is an ABSOLUTE pain! Even after having the front desk's helpin attempting to call either the bar or the restaurant it took over a half hour each time we ordered to get anyone to answertheir phone in order to place our order. Frustrating. Meals are very expensive, however appetizers and breakfast menu are wellworth the price. Just remember to say "light on the peppers!" when you order!! This restaurant has a beautiful outside patioright on the lake's beach, however we chose to have room service in order to eat our meals on our hotel room balcony overlookingthe beautiful lake. We usually just hop on the buffet. No waiting. The custom omelettes and gravy an biscuits are tasty. They’re short staffed,... but that’s everybody. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Great views and breezes on the patio. Read more

Very generous portions. The food was great and the service was amazing. The garlic potatoes were a little "sweet" so not sure... we like that. But everything else was awesome. Read more

Do not order the hot beef sandwich. I'm not even sure it was beef, but none of it was edible. My friend was not impressed with... his food either. We felt rushed by the waitress who gave us our check right after our plates were brought out. At least we nowhave a fun inside joke about the worst meals of our lives. We won't be back. Read more

The staff were excellent, both on the restaurant side and the bar side. Enough that we tipped 30-40% on all three visits. The... food was also excellent, for the most part. I found a HAIR under my breakfast potatoes though. The server offered to have a newone made. I declined and it was removed from our bill. We ordered a yogurt for the toddler for breakfast and the one that wasbrought out was a chobani that had expired 11 days prior. They did replace it without issue, so they did have fresh ones. Thesalad bar was also gross. All of the toppings seemed wilted and sad, and there really wasn't a lot on it--definitely notconsidering what they charge. Dinner prices were exorbitant, but breakfast prices seemed reasonable. The very best part was thatthe kids meals were free because we were hotel guests. The kids dinner also came with a frozen sherbet cup. The bar had karaokeon the Friday we stayed, and it was fun. People were dancing. But the bathrooms weren't really cared for and we're still grossin the morning. Overall, it was nice to have the restaurant and bar available for guests at the hotel. Read more
