We celebrated our son’s birthday dinner at The Detroit Club. The ambience of the renovated gentlemen’s club was wonderful.... Food and service was as to be expected at place such as The Detroit Club - 5 stars. What was once a members only club formillionaires is now open. We had lunch there and toured the building. It really is a combination museum and find diningexperience. Detroit Club is in my top three favorite restaurants in Detroit. Top quality ingredients and presentation.Impeccable service. Wonderful atmosphere and you can carry on a conversation with your friends without a high noise level. Idefinitely will return Read more

Great place, this place a lot to offer. The food in the dining area is great.... The cocktails in the Library are really... good.... The cigar lounge has a great selection of cigars and provides great service. I'm a huge fan of this place. They alsohave hotel rooms that I haven't stayed at but from the look of the rest of the place I'm sure they're really great. Read more

Great staff great experience. Great apps especially the goat cheese and fig pizza. Tara the head bartender makes unique menus... of drinks often and also makes the whole bar crackle. We had my wife’s 45th birthday in the Library. What’s fantastic? the vibe and the decor and people and certainly the drinks. Read more

Pricey, but wonderful ambience and experience; we really appreciated the personal touch for my sister birthday and the welcome... note and strawberries! The establishment is a wonder and jewel of Detroit. Still progressing, but on their way to 5 stars. Staffis friendly and courteous, but understaffed so not always prompt with service. Needed to call a few times to remind staff forrequest. They clearly spent much time and thought into refurbishing the hotel. The continental brunch could have been morerobust. They are just shy of providing service that would push them to five star... such as offering turn down service withoutasking and forwarding my spa request to Gina themselves rather than punting that to me. And the spa experience was wonderful.Other positives- the staff are truly proud of their establishment, and that is a rare find. The service of water and coffeeoutside the rooms is a delightful touch. Read more

What's not to love about this place? You don't know me but you need to trust that, if you have the money, cause this place is... not cheap, you owe it to yourself to visit here before it goes back to a private club. And it WILL go private again, soonerrather than later. The ambiance if off the chain. The staff is super professional. The food alone is worthy of the price point. And you will feel like someone turned the clock back and you are in the last century. They have a health club in the basement, acigar bar on, I think, the third floor and hotel suites on the fourth floor. We were encourage by Ryan, the hotel manager towonder around and it was incredible. I understand that this is only a very recent renovation project turned public opening andit was accomplished with exquisite taste and decor. So weather you are a local Detroit resident or a visitor from out of town, treat yourself special for a few hours and give the place a go! You will not be sorry.... Read more

The Detroit Club is steeped in Detroit History. As you walk through the doors, you can feel it. The property has been lovingly... restored to its former grandeur by people who truly care about preserving it's authenticity while making it comfortable formodern visitors. An amazing location for any event with many meeting and banquet room options, stately guestrooms, wonderfulrestaurant and lounge, and beautiful quiet spa. The food and service at the restaurant exceeded my expectations. The ownersand staff maintain an air of formal professionalism but are also very warm, friendly, open, welcoming and fun! Anyone who hasvisited Detroit knows that our people are our greatest asset and you definitely feel the pride and friendliness when you visitthis gem. I am so grateful that the owners have saved this treasure for us all to enjoy!! Read more
