First when you walk in the place is very clean and has such a nice atmosphere. The gentleman who was working the front was very... kind to go over the menu with us and served us when we sat down. The food was absolutely delicious. If you love humus you willnot be disappointed here. The quality and price of the food are more than fair. Definitely check this place out if you are looking for authentic Syrian food. Their food is very close to how us Lebanese cook... our food. Simply amazing. I absolutely love their falafel. Their falafel is honestly the best I?ve had in the Metro Detroitarea. Items included ? falafel sandwich ? If you?re looking for authentic Syrian cuisine, @shamiatrestaurant is the place to be. The chef used to own a restaurant in... Syria and be the chef there, so you know you?re definitely getting authentic Syrian food. We tried many items from the menu,and my most favorite items were the falafel and the eggs with meat. These Syrian style falafel were made fresh to order. Whatsets them apart from the other style falafels is that these have a hole in them to ensure the falafel is properly cooked and hasa crunchy texture on the outside and a softer texture on the inside. When you break into these falafel, they?re more yellow incolor and that?s because they only use chickpeas, whereas other Middle Eastern falafels can be made with chickpeas and favabeans. Honestly the best falafel I?ve ever had. Definitely coming back for more. I highly recommend checking out this place ifyou?re looking for an authentic and delicious breakfast/brunch. I had people over for brunch so I ordered take out. At the restaurant everyone was so friendly to me (served me a sampler, made... me coffee while I waited). Lovely place with delicious local breakfast Syrian dishes, tried most of them and it's always that good feeling of trying new... food that's good. Staff are very nice and the prices were very good, local arabic music always playing in the background. If youare not familiar with Syrian food I recommend try the small sizes first, some of the large size are good to feed 4 or more, youwill be surprised.
