Food: Five stars - Excellent Mac and cheese, brisket, and sausage. BBQ sauces have good flavor too! Really enjoyed the... food! Service - ZERO STARS - The waitress we had was AWFUL! She took our order and then didn’t come back until we were doneeating. We repeatedly had to ask other staff for refills on drinks. She also didn’t ask how the food was as my friends foodwas dry. She gave another friend a full Caesar salad when ordered a side Caesar salad with his meal. We also had to pay thebill with another waitress. She basically didn’t do anything other than take our order which she got wrong. All of this andwe were forced to pay 15% gratuity (it’s automatically added to your bill). YIKES!!! Read more

This place went above and beyond from the beginning. My group and I was reading the menu posted outside the building thirty... minutes prior to opening and a worker came out and handed us each a menu to make it easier to see. Because of this, we decidedto go here for lunch. It was a Wednesday at opening, so there was only one or two servers working. But at no point did we haveto wait for anything. The servers were simply the best. The fries, brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and burgers were all amazing.Perfectly cooked, Flavorful, tender. Some of the best barbecue I've had. The 4 BBQ sauces they had on the table were allamazing. The mud sauce and the hot sauce were my favorite. We went through a half bottle each during out visit. Portions weresubstantial, but everything was so good I cleaned my plate. If you are in greektown and want some quality barbecue, I can'trecommend this place enough. Read more

We ordered the feast which is what was recommended by the waiter. It came on a large platter, pulled pork, chicken, full rack of... rips, and brisket, we ordered the sweet potatoes and rice and beans for sides. It was all very yummy. I liked the brisket andpulled pork the best. We had leftovers for dinner the night after and they were just as good the second time. Read more

The food here was okay from what I remembered. I ordered the cajun fish bites with a side of mac and cheese. It came corn meal... crusted (not seasoned) and fried, served with Cajun rémoulade sauce (slight spice) that made it taste a little better. Themacaroni (shells) and cheese was good, not too cheesy, but didn’t have an impactful taste. I had a Mango Grand Margarita thatwas pretty strong, I appreciated that. Located on what looked like a pretty popular strip downtown Detroit. I had a hotel roomacross the street so I didn’t have to worry about parking. I would definitely go back again to try something different. Read more

Really good! Their sauces make it even better. I'm not a big fan of their brisket but I tried the pulled pork, pulled chicken... and the ribs as well and I had no complaints. I came here for my birthday and enjoyed it soo much we came back a few days later. Read more

The ribs and the sauce are really good. We like the sides as well; we ordered the sweet potato and the beans and spinach over... rice. The beef brisket was a bit dried, but maybe that was because… we ordered the thin/ lean beef brisket!! Overall, experience is good and the atmosphere is great. Read more

This was our first time eating at Red Smoke Barbecue and I will definitely go back. When we walked in the greeting was... comforting and friendly, we got seated right away. To start I order a Tennessee Punch which was not made for the weak so beready to leave this place drunk from one drink. I could smell the alcohol before the drink made it to my table… :) I had todrink in moderation. For an appetizer we ordered the Cajun Fish Bites which was fresh, hot, and full of delicious soul seasoningflavor. The Mac and cheese was a 10/10 while the collard greens made with chicken could of used some more flavor so a 8/10. Thecorn bread was sweet with a little spice to it which was different but still finger licking good. We order the Pull Pork Platterwhich is the picture with Mac and cheese and the Texas Beef Brisket (lean) which is the one with collard greens. Everything atthis establishment was amazing and fulfilling. I highly recommend this restaurant to any that goes to Detroit. This place isalso 7 minutes walking distance from the basement and football area. Read more

Amazing service, the jalapeno cornbread can be a hit or miss. I loved the tender brisket, my Mac & cheese was good, & the yams... are cooked to perfection, my friends and I enjoyed ourselves. I'll definitely be back on my next visit. They have nice portionsand my friends ordered the back ribs, which fell off the bone. I liked the atmosphere and the friendly patrons I met too. Read more
