I fell for the heartfelt reviews with this one. That and the promise of outstanding Ameritalian food. But while the service... was great and the ambiance filled with warm hole-in-the-wall charm - the food was mediocre. Sauces were bland, chicken was dry, gnocchi tasted like it was from a package. For $25 a plate, it's reasonable to expect fresh ingredients at least. Read more

When was the last time you sat at a table and we’re welcomed by other patrons? That’s the warm, friendly atmosphere the... owner project’s outward, , thus kind patrons gravitate towards this delicious eatery. Food: order homemade pasta w/ pink sauce?? Weekdays are less busy. Read more

Best experience we've had in ages. We called to get in at the last minute and soooo excited we did. The meal was like being back... in Europe and being presented with the most amazing food at quantity. Salad, cheese bread and meatballs found their wayimmediately on the table...and these meatballs will change your life. You will write poetry about them. You will dream aboutthem. You may leave your husband for these meatballs. The salad is old school in the best way. Tomatoes chopped in a vinaigrettelaid on super fresh greens. Cheese bread is so crispy and made on sesame bread. So simple and super perfect. Then the maincourses...get the ribs on the pasta. It's divine. The chicken parm can feed a small village. The baci tortellini in palominosauce is surprisingly light...soft, tender and angelic. If you don't have leftovers I'd be shocked. The desserts are bountiful.Almond cake, limoncello cake, tiramisu, chocolate.. etc etc. Let them pour you table wine to get the authentic experience. It'slike Nonna's house in all the right ways. We'll be back religiously. Read more

Found this place on open table. Reservations have to be made but it is a small place, actually it is a house that took the Uber... driver a min to find. It's a hidden gem! The food is excellent authentic Italian food, the atmosphere is very friendly & homiestyle & the wine had a rich divine flavour. Mr. G loves to talk about how he started his restaurant and his staff Billie andOlivia were excellent servers. They could all answer questions about each dish. Definitely try the meatballs but you won't bedisappointed by any dish. Read more

I hate using the expression "hole in the wall" but this is the very definition. You could completely pass this place and not... know what you are missing! There are no frills, nothing fancy about this place. Thank god they don't even have the stereotypicaldecor of an Italian restaurant. Just family photos and good food! You really feel like you just went to visit a friend's houseand their mom decided to keep you for dinner and trust me you will not be disappointed! Try their meatballs as that is whereMumma Maria's got their start! Absolutely a must visit! Reservations are required and can be found on Open Table. Read more

Feels like you are eating at your friends parents house. Great homemade food—we tried the palomino sauce and mama Maria’s... red sauce. Loved the baci (like a cheese tortellini) and the meatballs were so tender. The owner is so nice and opened therestaurant as a tribute to his wife (Maria) and you can see how much food meant to their family. Excited to come back for mynext meal—chicken parm is next on the list. Read more
