Additional Information
Most of the time and even if the person isn?t a big eaters small plates and tapas feel like the work of a restaurant genius who... managed to have customer happily pay $15 for two ounces of food. La Féria is about making sure their customers leave satisfiedand they pull it off. The portions are tasty and generous without being caustic or looking for a place to buy mints or heartburnmedication. I?ve been to Spain several times and I felt like I was in Seville. Only, la Féria also has more vegetarianfeatures?no need to bribe a restaurant to make me a salad like I did in Southern Spain. How can you please so many people? Itall comes down to basics, good chicken, seafood, salads, vegetables and service and all that lack of complication means thatyou?ll come back and don?t need a dictionary to order. Read more

I ate dinner for the first time on Saturday. The food was AMAZING! This is my new favorite place! Everyone in my party loved it... and we did not leave a bite behind. So much flavor and everything was delicious. I would highly recommend and will definitelyreturn the next time I visit. We arrived at a really busy time and was able to be seated within a couple of minutes. Servicewas great and everyone was really friendly, too. Read more
Such a nice play, very different from all the food around. A huge amount of wine selections. My only recommendation is that do... not go expecting to eat a lot of food as it is a place to enjoy with tapas Read more

The food, service, and atmosphere until the bill came were great. But I write this to give future customers a heads-up that... there's a 3% "processing fee" that's not on the menu or anywhere else I could see. And the (otherwise excellent) waitstaff wasnot prepared to handle this -- management's fault. There's actually another larger charge the restaurant doesn't mention upfront: a 20% "living wage charge" in place of a tip. But I find tipping a terrible system so this concerns me less; I haveworked as a waiter! (I was only a party of two; I was not with a large party where a required gratuity is normal.) When I askedwhat the processing fee was, the waiter wrongly said it was was on the menu. He then said that rather than ask the generalmanager to remove the fee, he'd just pay it himself. He added that I wouldn't be able to avoid the fee in the future. I Googledlater and confirmed that Michigan law doesn't allow restaurants to charge undisclosed credit-card processing fees. Alsobusinesses can't charge fees for debit-card payments in any state. I had a debit card and cash, although unfortunately I didn'tthink of this and the waiter didn't suggest it. Read more
