Reviews for Joe Louis Southern Kitchen in Detroit, MI
This food was delicious. The customer service was wonderful. GeeGee was a great waitress. We didn’t wait long for a table,... food or the check. It was around 2:15pm when we got those, So we might have missed the rush. The environment and ambiance of therestaurant was awesome, with Motown music playing and a perfect volume and classic Cadillac pictures on the wall. Definitelygoing back. Read more
We had an amazing experience here. The staff was truly incredible, the vibes were right, and the food was delicious. While... waiting for our table we met another amazing couple and decided to share breakfast together. We bonded over southern cooking andtalked about just about everything people can talk about that matters. We left with far more than full bellies - We left withfriendship and inspiration. Read more
We ordered quite a variety of food, it was all edible but nothing to run back for. Took quite some time to order and even longer... for food to come out - and it wasn't even extremely busy. The waiter/hostess was pleasant enough. It was definitely somethingdifferent. Read more

The food and service was great! Our waitress was super nice. She was very busy but she made sure we was taken care of. Other... staff members came by to check on us too. It’s so much to look at. They have TVs and great photos of Joe Louis postedeverywhere. I had the St. Antoine Street meal. Red velvet waffles and fried chicken wings. Which was really good. We also hadthe Martha's Smoked Seafood Skillet. Which was a hard NO for us. It looked nothing like the picture on the menu. The Salmon wasdry. It was extremely greasy. It had no tri colored peppers in it and no spinach. However, we sent it back and ordered anotherChicken and waffle. No alcoholic drinks here. But they offer other beverages. I will be back. It’s so much on the menu tochoose from. Chicken sandwich, shrimp and grits, catfish, cheesy grits etc. They close around 4 during the week and you have topark at the meter. Read more
