I ordered the red snapper. The flavor was great. A little spicy with herb and spices that went very well with the the fish. Fair... price. The only downfall was the beans and rice which was a little overcooked, dry without much flavor. My wife had the oxtails. She gave it 7.5/10. Detroit has many great Caribbean restaurants and Island Spice is near the top. They have an extensive menu - possibly the most... extensive of any Caribbean restaurant in the area. There?s also a soul food menu. I love their Boston style jerk chicken. Rice &peas, veggies, & plantains are excellent too. Jamaican beef patties are some of the best around too. Read more
Jazz was a pleasure today she helped me with my order seeing it was my first time. She was very patient and explained every... flavor profile.I got some jerk chicken wings with the beans and rice with cabbage and plantains, along with a beef patty andfried dumplings.
