I'm Dominican American from NY and I missed the Dominican food from over there. When I moved here in Michigan it was hard to... find good authentic Dominican food. The food at Asty Time is excellent. I?ve been here more than a handful of times and I have never been disappointed. Honestly I?m... lazy when it comes to writing reviews but I just felt compelled to share this with other fellow food lovers. Here are somedishes I?ve had: chicaharron with rice and beans (had this yesterday for the third time- my go to meal), mofongo (mashedplantain-Google the dish as it is one of my all time favorite dishes), maduros, and of course chicken. The Sancocho (soup) isperfect and if you have it with white rice you will fall asleep with a smile that same night ????. Seriously folks the food isgreat and the owners are very nice and the cuisine is authentic of course (I?ve visited DR many times to know this and my wifeis from DR who also agrees with me about Asty). Oh and the prices are more than reasonable? if it ever has a bar I?ll be thereevery week to watch sports to enjoy the food, the vibes, and the atmosphere.
