Everyone said Merlin?s was the best and they were right! We stopped here while vacationing in Destin and it did not disappoint!... You can tell they make it all fresh. I?m an Italian and their red sauce is perfection!! We got a half combo and half pepperoniexplosion and it was loaded with toppings. We went during lunch and it was packed. So we're on vacation in Destin and wanted some pizza, Googled it and found Merlins rated top one or two in the area. Let me say... this, at 60 I've eaten a lot of great pizza over the years but this was absolutely the best I've ever had! No exaggeration, theabsolute best ever. Thin crust, pesto sauce, meaty fest deluxe with 1/2 mushrooms. It's got to be the high quality ingredientsthey advertise using and there was little to no grease left in the serving pan. There was a constant stream of carry outcustomers and the dine-in area was pertty much full with about 50 people. Our pizza arrived perfectly cooked about 10 min afterwe ordered, wow. Waitress was busy but super attentive, handled the crowd great! Cheesy bread was over the top. Downside is,we'll always be disappointed with pizza until we go back to Merlins. You've gotta try it!! Great local place with great food. We got the seafood pizza(????????), garlic shrimp pizza(????????????????), buffalo sweet and... spicy wings(????????), and a side salad(????????????????). The seafood pizza was underwhelming with all of its great reviews,but it was still pretty good. The garlic shrimp was awesome! The thick crust is definitely the way to go but the thin crust wasstill good. The buffalo wings had a very tasty sauce but were a little bit small. The side salad was really good and totallyworth the $4. Would definitely recommend and come back! So many great choices here. Read more
The delivery was fast and friendly. The delivery person was very nice and it arrived at the resort quicker than... expected/quoted. The pizza was steaming hot. The cheesy bread was delicious. It was hearty and fluffy at the same time. Thesupreme pizza had generous toppings and was good. The lasagna pizza wasn?t that flavorful and we weren?t really able to tellthat it was a specialty ?lasagna?. We wouldn?t order that one again, but just our taste preferences. Read more
The pizza dough was low key under cooked however the garlic bread made up for it. Overall I expected more with the ?amazing... reviews?. I will say that the pizza sauce on the pizza was really good. It?s the perfect pizza sauce. The marinara sauce waswatery though. The service was quick and the pizza was hot on delivery which is nice. I would most likely not order again. This local pizza joint did not disappoint! Other places had questionable reviews, but not Merlins. The six-cheese garlic cheese... bread is amazing. We tried the chicken bacon ranch club, and a create your own pizza. Both pizzas were perfectly made, and wereready in record time. We chose to dine-in. It?s not a large space but was comfortable and our waitress was very sweet, punctualand had a great southern accent! Highly recommend. Read more
