My dad and I had such a wonderful time golfing on this course. The entire staff was so friendly and made our day so much fun!... Grant is an extremely polite and professional golf pro and made us smile the entire time while talking to him. What a treat thisplace is all around. I understand that when people have similar experiences, many of them vary. One person drives a car and doesn't like it... then... the very next person drives the exact same car 5 minutes later and has the best driving experience of their life. I get it, thatis life. With that in mind, I will tell you that ANYONE who gives Kelly Plantation a 1 or 2 star rating is flat out LYING. Thestaff are phenomenal and the course is gorgeous. You just can not ask for a better golf experience. The signature hole (#4) isjust breath taking. The course is in terrific condition... I've seen other courses that didn't have greens that were as wellmanicured as the fairways at Kelly Plantation. Even poorly hit iron shots will still roll for days, making your mis-hits veryplayable. For $80, we didn't get a round of good golf. We got a fantastic experience. And that's more than the course... that'sthe people. The staff catered to our every need and even the one minor issue (which wasn't their fault) they fixed anyway. Ifyou're anywhere near Destin and want a memorable experience, do not hesitate. Worth the price in Destin area. Really nice track and layout. Pretty wide open making it good to play, and very scenic holes.... Didn't try the food, but found the rest of the facilities to be awesome. Read more
This is a nice course, don?t get me wrong, a very nice course actually. But it really wasn?t the most exciting. I enjoyed the... round, but there is still 2 other courses in town that I would rather play. The pace of play is solid. The sand is probably thebest sand I?ve ever played out of. The range is awesome, but squeezed tight for some reason. If this course was 50 bucks I?dcall it a 9/10, but for 100, I?d say it?s more like a 7/10. Read more
Total lack of respect for non members. Booked 7 times starting at 1230 tee time a month ago, which put us close to being able to... get the round in before dark, but still enough time.. Instead first group did not go off until 115. Top that off by putting 2fivesomes in front of us. Needless to say several of our groups did not finish. Of course they had no issue taking our moneyonly to put us out with no chance of finishing. If you are not a member be prepared to get screwed!! Read more
