Not the best donuts we?ve ever had but pretty good. First of all we waited outside not knowing you could walk right in for carry... out donuts (the line is for tables only) - maybe the signage could be better. We had nearly one of each ?. They were goodoverall. The only ?great? ones were the ?angels? we loved the chocolate, strawberry and vanilla filled. The crumb coated one wasthe favorite cake donut. The custard and jelly filled were also pretty good. We also bought a whole key lime pie that wastasty. All in all we?d recommend but still not the ?best?. Read more
Long wait to get in but totally worth it! (Faster if you are getting donuts or food to go). We sat at the counter and Julie was... our server. She was very attentive and friendly. Great breakfast spot. There was a small wait as expected but worth it. Friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered the short... stack of Pancakes with a side of Grits and fruit. Everything that I ordered was delicious and great portions. The fruit wasfresh and the Grits perfect. They also had a variety of delicious looking donuts, muffins, and cakes. The best donuts at the beach! I?ve been coming here whenever we visit for years. The donuts are always light and fluffy. Do... yourself a favor and get there early before they sell out of the key lime donut! It?s so good! The cakes are also very good!They use real butter cream frosting for the cakes like what my grandma used to make. Stopping and getting a donut is thehighlight of my visit. Read more
For first timers, the left ramp and line is to wait for a table (don't worry moves quick) and the right or inside line is for... the donut counter! Reviews and menu looked great and it delivered. The staff was very nice, felt like they knew us. I had thebagel sandwich special which was basically perfect. This place was recommended by Kate, who is as much a "foodie" as I am, so I knew I had to "Check it out." The Key Lime pie was... creamy and flavorful but not as tangy as I like. Arrived early to be sure and get a seat, last time here they were so busy. I noticed that 3 of the local sheriff cars were... already waiting! Great sign that the locals cannot wait for the opening. We were treated with a warm smile and good morning.Also informed that the chef had just arrived so they would be a short delay for kitchen start up. Looking at the menu there wereso many choices! They all sounded good. I went with the Senor Benny. Spanish style Eggs Benedict. Ordered a side of biscuitswith tomato gravy ???? My wife had the Ultimate Seafood omelette. Everything was so tasty, the coffee was delicious and my keylime filled donut was fantastic. Absolutely DELICIOUS!! You know the food is good when there?s a line around the building during the ?off season?. The portions... are HUGE one omelette is more than enough for two people. The Ultimate Gulf Coast omelette was so good, it was packed full oflarge shrimp, crab meat, cheese and peppers. You can?t go to a place called the donut hole without getting donuts, these weregreat.
