My husband, two of our tween grandchildren and I decided to eat lunch at Bitterroot, today. The restaurant is clean. The... restrooms are clean and well-stocked. I love the cute floors, in the bathrooms! The water is delicious, especially notable inDestin. The music is upbeat but unobtrusive. Sadly, a table of four ladies seated next to us are very loud, with screechinglaughter that suggests they have over-imbibed the wine they are being served. They are especially noticeable in a calm, classyrestaurant, like Bitterroot. Our tweens are far better behaved. Service is a bit slow, due to being short-handed. My husbandand I started with a cheese and charcuterie plate that was good. Our grandchildren and I loved our burgers and fries! Myhusband sent back his spaghetti bolognese, because he thought the noodles needed to be cooked longer. It was removed from ourbill. I like less-done al dente noodles, but we couldn't swap entrees because he hates the onions that came on my burger. Heordered a burger, instead. He enjoyed it. Can’t recommend this place enough — we came for my graduation celebration and enjoyed every bite of food. Loved the arancini... and whipped ricotta for appetizers. The short rib was the best of the entrees. The ambiance is beautiful but will warn you thatthe restaurant is kept a little warm (especially for Florida)— we were sat right by the thermostat which read 77 degrees.Otherwise, great meal and will be returning! We had been on the road for 3 hours and were tired but starving. We did a google search and found Bitterroot. So that you know,... the outside of the restaurant isn't glitzy or glamorous, and it's in a shopping center. Now never judge a book by its cover istrue in this instance. We walked in and were lucky enough to get a bar seat. This magical, fantastic eatery has carefullycrafted cocktails and high-end cuisine. We had the BALSAMIC BRAISED SHORT RIB - Wagyu Short Rib, Mirepoix, Potato Confit, overa bed of beautiful carrots and potatoes and the FILET - Pepper Crusted Filet, Ranatza Farm Cauliflower Mash, Flashed Asparagus,Demi-Glace. They state that they aim to lead by example and deliver excellence. We can attest to that as we are still enjoyingthe memory of that thoughtfully crafted, fresh dining experience. Bon Appetite! What a completely gorgeous restaurant. The atmosphere is very elegant, upscale, and on trend. The specialty drink menu is... ?amazing ? we have tasted many things on the menu so far but I could keep coming back time and time again solely for the drinksand that whipped ricotta starter….it is hands down, one of the best things I’ve ever tasted…so simple but the flavors arejust to die for. place was great over all. I has short rib and cheese cake. the short ribs was the most tender thing I've ever had had great... flavor in the meat. as I finished it it did get a little salty but was still wonderful. the cheesecake 10/10 I think the honeyblueberries and strawberry gave a diffrent taste every time.
