Good anything is hard to find. Food is no exception. I am glad I found this place. I bought a 2 piece fillet and a catfish... sandwich. It was a little pricey but it was first of all real catfish, it was a nice size fillet, and very well seasoned. Read more
It was a Saturday afternoon I was hungry and I wanted soulfood. This was my 1st time visiting here so I wasn't familiar with... menu options for Saturdays. I was hoping to get a southern plate. ..something I could have for Saturday and Sunday meals. Iended up ordering the wing basket and sub'd onion rings for fries. It was..OK! The chicken tasted like it was fried in the sameoil as the fish... which they were out of ???????????. The onion rings were... not so great. Sooo good! We order from DoorDash every week. The fish is flaky, fresh and seasoned perfectly. The chicken wings are delicious... and fried perfectly. Large portions for the price and we have been completely satisfied for several weeks now. Keep up the goodwork! Read more
Ok so this was my first time here and the reason for the 3 star review is because they gave me some old chicken which wasn't... good at all, I picked and ate what I could but as y'all can see in the before and after pics there was alot left that was hardand just nasty. The sides and dressing were delicious, I'd honestly go back to them to try something else but I definitely won'tcall in my order anymore, I'll go in so that I can make sure they make it fresh!! First of all I lived in SC for 8 years so I definitely missed my southern cooking! We just moved to Texas and when we drove by I... got a whiff of this place. I kneeeew I needed to try it! Little did I know just how good it would be. Talk about a gem! When youwalk in they're so inviting and funny. Then on the counter you see a mountain of cake just waiting to be devoured! Theatmosphere was very easy going and family oriented. The only down fall was there needed to be chairs. Gotta eat delicious friedfood immediately! But besides the missing tables I didn't let that stop me lol I ate in the car. The chicken is super duperflavorful and juicy. The pork chop was... second to known! Let me just say something about that heavenly cake! It's a giantpiece of most fluffy heaven. Only problem was I wanted another piece lol. I have had so many deep fried pork chops and the waythey seasoned every thing made me wanna do a dance!! We'll DEFINITELY be back and bringing every one I know!!! I wish you themost success ever! Randomly just visited this place on my way to Waco and literally the best chicken I?ve ever had period. Fresh, juicy, meat... falling off the bone. Seasoned fries, bread, pickles AND peppers??? So good. Highly recommend. Glad i live in Dallas. Will beback. Read more
Black businesses always pick and choose when to be open. Honor the hours you post. I ordered food using grubhub and it was... listed as open and open on Google, but they decided to be closed today... make it make sense. In response to your extremelyunprofessional reply: McDonald's and Papadeaux would never respond the way you did, nor would they open whenever the hell theyfeel like it. Take and etiquette course and stop being so unprofessional. Maybe apologize for not being open when your hourslisted say you would be.
