Reviews for The O’Connor House English Tea Room in Deseronto, ON
I loved the salon/store a lot. Many many tea cups and tea pots displayed everywhere in the store. The paintings of queens on the... wall, antique piano at the corner of the tea room, and many more details throughout the place. Each table had a small book toread while waiting for the meal, which my family actually enjoyed. The meal was good too, and decently priced consideringafternoon teas are usually overpriced everywhere. The service was great. My husband and my son decided to split a sandwich, andthey plated half of the meal in each plates. There?s an antique store connected to the tea salon, where I found a bigcollection of my favourite blue flow plate!! I?ll definitely come back when I?m in the area. Read more

Went based on reviews. This was far less than a 4.8 experience. I've gone to high teas elsewhere and this was the worst one yet.... For 28/per person, for high tea the tea isn't even loose leaf rather common brands at a grocery store in tea bags. The picturesshow buns but we didn't have any. We received maybe max two sandwiches (Crist removed) that consisted of three pieces ofcucumber cream cheese, three small pieces of ham type nibbles, and two thin slices of egg salad pastry, three cherry tomatoes, four thinly sliced pieces of cucumber, three small half pieces of cantaloupe, four raspberries, a tablespoon and a half ofchutney. The scone was tasty, however, more like cake. The Devon cream was real whip cream. Not authentic Devon cream based onexperience. You could see more of plate then food. The upholstery/ material of the chairs is in dire need of shampooing. To behonest would like my money back. It is cheaper to get a sandwich and salad then order the scone. You'll receive way more foodfor a better price. Not impressed. Felt ripped off. Wish I had of taken a picture!! Read more
