It was good but there was some Romanian guy harassing me and my family whilst I was there. He kept saying something about swords... and sandals for some reason, and I don't know if that's what he was saying in English or if it means something else in hislanguage. He kept pretending like he worked here despite not being in uniform. Would recommend this place highly, just avoid thelunatic Romanian. Read more

This is a bit of a story, so sit tight. My friends and I were hungry. It was 7pm on a Tuesday. We decided upon American food.... But what kind, and from where? We filtered through all the options, and came upon Mr. Beef and Pizza. My partner mentioned hedisliked it - but he hasn't had it for 10+ years, so who knows? It could have changed in that time. So we order a couple ofitems for delivery. Let me tell you: it was a smorgasbord. I know my friends are every last bite, and I savored my own: fishfilet sandwich and a cheese dog. The fish filet was, well, the normal fish filet sandwich (though I'd never had it with onionbefore!) but the cheese dog was an absolutely amazing thing. It was a Chicago dog (minus the sport peppers and celery salt)SLATHERED IN CHEESE. I almost wish i had the sport peppers!! SO GOOD, I almost wish I had two. 4/5 stars only because myfriends said the Italian beef was decent, not amazing. But we did think it was a good, cheap dinner. Read more
I found this place when I was working in the area back in 2005 and I would stop there for lunch all the time. Unfortunately I... live far away and can only stop in once in a while now. If you don't care about calories and you like great tasting food, thisis a place for you. They serve up a lot of the classic Chicago beef stand foods. They have Italian beef, I always go with thecheezy beef. They also serve Italian sausage, burgers, hot dogs, gyros and pizza. If you are in the area I would recommend thatyou stop in for a cheezy beef. Read more
One of my favorite places to eat! Between myself and my family we have tried a lot of their menu and have never been... disappointed (beefs, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, cheese fries) Highly recommend their cheezy beef, much better than a lot ofother beefs. They even sell these red velvet cupcakes which are absolutely amazing. Prices are comparable to similarrestaurants. Super friendly staff! It's a large restaurant so it never feels crowded even when there's a lot of people there.Definitely should come check this place out if you haven't already! Read more
We always order Beef by the Pound for our Parties. It is the best around and everyone enjoys it. For the first time we ordered... Sausage by the tray with peppers and it came with the bread for sandwiches. The Sausage was cooked to perfection and we neverever have had Sausage this good. Every one remarked on it.
