What a great place. Was there cause it's close to Des Plaines theater. The food was amazing and had a nice beer selection. ... Was talking to the owner and this place has been here for a number of years. It's in a strip mall so you have to look for itbut it is worth going out of your way to find it. Stopped in tonight after checking this place out as I walked past it a number of times - reviews led me to believe it would be a... great place for dinner and a drink. An icy reception by the server led to our being seated with no service for over 5 minuteswhen the remaining clientele were clearly regulars and the bar was mostly empty. Chris and Nikki, ?????+???? What an interesting backstory for this wonderful hidden gem of an establishment. Chris really... started this business when he was around 19 years old, and, they are working the entire restaurant themselves, Chris and Nikkiboth with the help of one of their friends as a chef. No one wants to work for whatever reason. You can see support for theUkraine???????? everywhere, they are very compassionate here, very empathetic folks.???????????????? Anyway, we dropped ourdaughter off at the airport, and shot over to Illusion, and it was one of my best choices in a good while. The inside was wellmaintained, bathrooms are extremely clean and laid out well. And like I always say, "clean bathrooms, clean kitchen!" My wifeloved the pierogies, the Greek salad which was large enough to feed three people, Lol. Her Lemon Martini, ???????? boomshakalaka! The Tiramisu was really really good. I've had Tiramisu at some of the best Italian restaurants, Chris and Nikki'sTiramisu is better! I just had a couple of Miller high Life ???? and the 1 lb double ???? cheeseburger! That, almost filled meup, lol! Also a Coke, ????and a couple of forks full of my wife's Tiramisu. ???? This is an awesome venue to watch a game.
