Expensive for what it is. I got chicken fries and the fries were great, but the chicken had that microwaved texture to it where... it is string and chewy. The chicken was also cold. Food came out quickly. The guy taking orders was knowledgeable and one of thereasons I gave 3 stars rather than 1 or 2. It was a fairly clean place. If I go back, it'll be for the fries only. I'd like to say that this place is decent. I ordered wings and the chicken strips combo. The portion size is good with lots of... meat per chicken strip and compared to Raising Canes.... my meal cost nearly the same as the Caniac combo. The sauce I got wasspicy ranch which was actually very good. It actually had a hint of pepper flavor and a kick which I loved. The things I'd wishthat could change is the flavor of the strips. The breading was good but just needs more spices. The chicken itself needs somesort of marinade. I hope the owner hears me out and changes these two things because I'd like to see this place be successful. Read more
Our first time visiting this new place, this was also their first Saturday open. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap and a draft... beer. The wrap was quite large, tomato basil wrap. Cool, crispy lettuce and tomatoes and juicy warm chicken and bacon. I wentwith the fried chicken instead of the grilled, but you have the choice. The wrap was delicious, great flavor. My wife had the 3chicken fingers combo. Instead of fries she went with the mac and cheese for an upcharge. She got a bottle of pop with the mealto take home and an ice water for no charge. Her sauce was the honey garlic. This was a sauce you could get smothered on thechicken or on the side for dipping. She said the chicken maybe needed a pinch of salt in the batter but that's a minimal issue,overall fantastic. The mac was good and creamy. So overall we had a great first visit and hope they continue to be open onSaturdays! We recommend Chicken Shack to anyone. Food came out quick and very friendly and attentive staff. Clean place! This was a good place to grab a bite to eat. Just like you would expect with the name they specialize in chicken. They offer... chicken & sauces in all kinds of varieties. They have fries & a few other sides to go along with everything. They also offer aselection of beers to go with that roadhouse theme. Read more
I?m giving it 5 for the food it?s really good soul food. I usually get their tenders, the sauces they have a really good. The... chili is really good to and the funnel cake fries are awesome. They?re a bit short staffed so I can?t fault them on that, sothere usually is a bit of a wait. But whatever, if a person can?t be patient and entitled they should order here then.
